  3. Afternoon all! Back in March this year, the staff had a few conversations regarding the Donation Goals we periodically created in order to keep the forums afloat. While the Goals did what they needed to do for the most part, there was still the other reason that the Goals were created that wasn't being fulfilled. This was for the Devs to earn some monetary recompense for their hard work. As the Donation Goal platform wasn't fulfilling that need, I went ahead and purchased an App for our forums that can do everything we need it to. Crowdfunding. We were going to leave the App offline until one of the Devs could create a code related goal, but since the discussion in https://rathena.org/board/topic/115859-multi-mod-auto-replies/ I thought we may as well go ahead and open up the platform now. You can find the link under "Supporting rA" in the navigation bar. Projects can only be created by staff for forum related apps/plugins/fees or for code projects/enhancements/features for the code itself on github. The project owner receives the donation values to their account credit, which they can then disperse to other staff if they want to share their funds. This platform gives the Devs all they need to get a little bit back. While some of the staff have voiced their thoughts on opening this platform up to regular members, i'm holding off on that until we can find a way of ensuring that project owners will complete their project once the goal has been met. We'll try a few small project goals and see how we go. If the platform does indeed do what we need it to, then we'll begin to think about releasing larger projects to it. Akky out~

  6. Hey everybody, I've mentioned wanting to produce some Browedit tutorials for a long time, so I've finally gotten around to starting. These will be posted/updated a a little infrequently- Basically whenever I have the free time and have come up with a good idea. It's noted in the introduction, but my tutorials will focus more on how to make your maps look good rather than being highly technical explanations of how different edit modes work, or how to use third-party programs. There will be some technical stuff, but again, this will be more about style and design rather than technical things. You can post in this thread to offer feedback on what I've written so far, or suggest topics you would like to see me cover. My tutorials are written in publicly accessible Google Docs- It's a nice, easy to use format and lets me make adjustments, edits, and updates easily. Sage's Browedit Tutorials Introduction How To Make Lightmaps Stop Looking Bad In this first post, I'll also write down a few vague ideas I have for future tutorials. Don't take any of these as promises- They might become part of bigger tutorials, or I might come up with a different way to present the ideas, or whatever. I may come up with something completely different, too. Anyway, here are some tutorials I'm considering writing: Retexturing Models - Syouji's video guides explain how to do this, but I think I could probably make a non-video based guide on how to do this that's a little clearer and easier to follow. Making Town Maps - I see a lot of town maps with similar problems that result in them not being very good- Mismatched models and textures, boring and repetitive streets, etc. Global Height Edit - This is a nifty tool with a couple fun/creative applications. Not sure if there's enough to make up its own guide, however. Custom Models are for Suckers - There are a lot of cool 'custom' models you can make by just arranging existing RO models together to form particular shapes. I have a few fun ones I can share to maybe inspire people. Interior Maps - A tutorial on making RO-style interiors in isometric form, and some style ideas for different settings: Homes, castles, abandoned buildings, etc. You're also free to treat this thread as an 'ask me anything' sorta deal, in case you want a quick answer from me on anything regarding mapping or my process or just about anything. yeet

  7. just make sure 1rag1 param is enabled, and replace it with the starting string you want and make sure to use the same string upon starting the exe from your patcher.

  8. why put the best answer already ? you know how to apply the feature to the original woe by referring to my template script ? anyway here's the script, tested http://upaste.me/e7fe499005a72504d though it seems Euphy added unnecessary gvgon on the castle map ... so have to gvgoff them

[Debug]: Source (NPC): AntiBot (invisible/not on a map) make sure you put Zeny check before deducting Zeny... and probably check Zeny if overflow if the condition is true just put atcommand "@kick "+ strcharinfo(0); if you want to kick players

  14. fix this legacy script , this script was throwing errors on latest rathena due to script engine update http://upaste.me/edc949638f3a1b56d - remove every sleep I can find, simply add a freeloop at the beginning of the OnInit: --> no more sheep-counting ! - now the compute-menu only run once, since the npc variable is shared among duplicates

En este post voy a ir poniendo los dos archivos que voy traduciendo de los servidores coreanos del ragnarok online que es el mismo que yo uso cuando juego al kRO para facilitarme las cosas. ¡¡¡¡Solo traduzco los artículos de los main servers!!!! Aunque estén en inglés pueden contener errores de traducción porque lo interprete mal o bien algunas descripciones las traduje literal al ingles por falta de ganas o tiempo. Hi, First, let me state that I've been running servers for over a decade and have released a great deal of content over the years ranging from complete regions, monster sprites, scripts, etc. I no longer operate a public server, but still make content behind the scenes in my spare time. That said, anyone who has followed me over the years (eA, rA, Herc, etc) knows that I enjoy creating custom "episode" content (maps, monsters, scripts, database inserts, utilities, NPCs, etc). One thing that has always bothered me, however, as someone who thoroughly enjoys breaking the meta game and adding in new content to stretch the imagination of original game mechanics through use of cards, new areas to explore, etc, is the hard coded limit for monster IDs. If you create a great deal of custom monsters, you quickly run out of available IDs, as Gravity continues to push closer and closer to an ID of 3999. Currently, increasing the MAX_MOB_DB size limit in mmo.h yields little in terms of adding in a large number of custom monsters unless you implement said monsters with IDs that overlap in the <4000 ID range. Naturally, I imagine Gravity will increase this limit at some point, however, I'm impatient and the content I'd like to release publicly would require far less extra editing on both my and users part of my content. My request is likely not the easiest to implement, however, I would like to request someone create a diff for the NEMO patch client to increase the view range of monsters. Consider this a paid commission to encourage others out there to also expand beyond the meta game. The Request: Create a patch (or update the attached patch -- thanks mkbu95 for digging it up from the repo!) for NEMO that is 2015-11-04+ compatible which will increase the mob view ID to work past the job classes, clones, etc (for example, allow 15,000-32,000 to show an actual monster sprite that rather than a Poring that registers as a monster and not an NPC). This is something that I've wanted to see released for years and now that I'm in a better position in life to be able to assist with bumping this up as a priority ($), I'd like to encourage the development of the patch. The first person to successfully create a fully functional patch will receive compensation. (If this should be in a paid services section, I apologize, I figured it belonged in client requests.
