Akkarin Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Hey guys! The upgrade completed without any major problems, which was nice. There are several differences in the way the forum functions now, but the changes aren't detrimental. For example, the wysiwyg editor is cleaner. The subforums allow for upvoting answers and selecting "Best Answer" instead of "Mark Solved". There isn't any buggy code anywhere! IPS4 runs on a new framework and doesn't rely on any of our old files. This means previous edits and hacky customisations are a thing of the past. The forums will still be very slow while tasks are running in the background. These should complete themselves over the next 12 hours or so. Just in-case it isn't all plain-sailing, a special sub-forum has been created for newly created IPS4 forum bugs. I don't think there will be many bugs, but i expect the section might quickly fill up with questions. If it does, i'll answer as quickly as possible. If it doesn't, then that's a good thing! 12 Quote

FXFreitas Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 I really Like this IPboard style, I only will miss the bb code mode of the editor (you know put a code such img /img and doesn't add the image instantly), and the autolink system, who auto add a link to urls, this late my work sometimes... Cydh Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 all support forums becomes QA style (stackoverflow-like, WP AnsPress, WP CM Answer), better you guys learn how to vote and never forget to mark reply as best answer. and because it's as QA, by default, it's sorted by vote, not by date. 1 Quote
