Hey all! (updated 2012-05-26) The final exams for this year is finally done, so a lovely three months are free to be dedicated to lots of fun projects! If these competitions are wanted again, PM me the interest, and if three, or more, members are interested, I'll boot them up again. Last weeks winner: Wat (no winners yet) I'll be updating with winners and new categories each week here and keep this topic for suggestions and feedback for the event itself and not for the submissions. Submissions will be delivered by email and released after the winner has been picked, with full credits to the makers. I would love to hear feedback on the subject, if there's any interest, what can be improved, what could be ditched, basically anything on your mind. Yo veo que van avanzando bien, han ido arreglando bugs olvidados y parece que la comunidad tiene ánimos de mejorar esto, incluso veo bastantes de eAthena aquí. Otro detalle importante es que ahora la comunidad tiene más facilidad de ayudar, el equipo de desarrollo está más atento y crece constantemente, podemos ver entre los Core Developers ahora a Epoque y Protimus por ejemplo, se ve cambio y progreso. Ciertamente es un buen momento para empezar a programar para RO, de esta manera incluso podemos ayudar al futuro de rAthena, dado que el éxito depende de nosotros (la comunidad), cada uno tiene su manera, a veces basta con mantener el foro activo para motivar. P.D: Ademas se trata de trabajar la idea de que la administración no dependa de una persona, así evitar un incidente como ocurrió con Paradox.

this might be a little off topic but, glemor, your a member since yesterday and u have more posts than me, what are u trying to accomplish with ur post count, having a post count doesnt make u a community contributer. Lol

It's not apt-get but rather 'yum' it will become yum install php5 phpmyadmin mysql-server mysql-client apache2 gcc subversion libmysqlclient15-dev make zlib1g-dev libpcre3-dev

If private servers are no longer worth it, then what are we all doing this for? O_o I do agree that it is hard to start a server but having connections and a lot of friends in the RO world makes that a tad bit easier. First few players of a server usually come from word of mouth. So gather up all your friends, tell them to play and to also invite their friends. Keep your players happy, provide them with something to do and something unique. Hopefully, you'll grow and last. Good luck if you ever decide to make one.

Tested it with 2011-06-09RagexeRE in latest RAthena(without any mod), and yes, this problem happen to me too.. I tried typing " %E" and this is what i got: Checked it with WPE, Server already received and sended the right message packet So its must be Client fault

Hey Everyone, I doubt anyone actually remembers me. I started using eAthena back in 2005/2006. My username on the old forum was martint. I'm kind of excited about this RAthena project - it seems like the administration here actually cares. Well - I hope to help with whatever here. I really want this project to do well. Time sure flies off and it's still as fun to get back here The nick's Plankt, and I live in the cold Sweden... No, we do not have polar bears running on the streets (I got that question when I was in the US ) Been on and off for the last 5 years when I began writing small silly scripts with simple menus. Always been tinkering on small projects and being around scripting part of the forums whenever I've been able to. Got to say this is what made me start programming from the start, and it didn't take long until I went from language to language, can never get enough haha. Had very limited time since I've done military duty for a year and now I'm studying full time, but I tend to come back to this community and notice a lot of people I recognize along with many new faces. I love the game itself and will probably never stop tinkering around for as long as this continues and you'll probably find me around the scripting section since I pretty much suck at anything related to graphics or mapping... I'll at least make a shot at making a forum Avatar! Hope I'll meet you on the forums!

Almost everything I thought of has been mentioned, but to add on to the rest: When the first screen that meets you on a website is a "please register to see anything regarding the server" Badly developed systems such as: WOE malfunctioning Misplaced NPCs Quests ending in nowhere or unsolvable Events crashing Or when a GM randomly throws a @reloadscript when you almost killed a MVP, old classic haha

I agree with Gepard, this is how I always did. If don't there is some official information from kRO, just wait new updates in iRO. The only significant difference of kRO for iRO is the formula of ASPD and there are small differences as the formula for MATK, with a difference of 2 points, but this is not relevant. About skill updates, no need to be constantly updated. It is preferable to wait and get the informations in iRO, because kRO have constant changes and this would be a work for nothing.

Cierto, es un buen momento para empezar de nuevo con el RO. Hay que darle tiempo a rAthena, acaba de empezar, pero por lo menos se van haciendo cosas, no como en el antiguo eAthena.

Yo creo que hay muy poca actividad de los foros en español s: hubieran dejado el link de DivineRO nada mas. Creo que asi se cargan mas trabajo innecesario.

Be careful with your language, we are not all here for money; I never gained one dollar from all my work and contribution on RO, it was for free each time; and I hope some persons here share this feeling. So now, why I don't code a fix right now ? 1) I don't have the time (and don't want to get the time). 2) Hackers will know this issue and will hack all old revisions (95% of actuals pservers ?). 3) It's not so easy to perform and required some parameters (that's why I don't think a lot of person know this hack). 4) I don't love fluxCP mentality (donation module). Now if fluxCP devs pm me, I will say them how to fix this problem. But I don't want to take my time to talk to them to secure noobs-donations servers that have no knowledge about coding/administrate a server.

Are you talking about the member reputation system? Where it shows what kinda rep we have? If so, I actually dislike that idea, i've seen it be abused by people on other forums. I already like the little arrow thingies on the posts themselves, but I wouldn't want to have a negative reputation because someone just decides to get me -1's everyday because they dislike me. ( Not saying they would, but i've seen this happen before ) Reputation or even 'likes' to me aren't important here on rA. I know this is a community and we're all awesome and like to chit chat and be laid back, but if anything this should be on the lowest of lows of priority. o_o;
