Brian Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Out of curiosity, how many people have a Google Account? i.e. Do you have an user/pass to login here? * If you have a *****@gmail.com email address, yes you have a Google Account. Quote

Brian Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Yes! I am curious how convenient or inconvenient it would be for the majority of users if we used Google Code's issue tracker. Yuki: I use Google Docs docs too Quote
GodLesZ Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Yes! I am curious how convenient or inconvenient it would be for the majority of users if we used Google Code's issue tracker. Yuki: I use Google Docs docs too Sounds nice, i like there tracker. I'm using many google services & have a gmail account too "Google Plus"-style: "+1 for the issue tracker idea <3 Quote
Linkin Park Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 gmail is an awesome mail for internet marketing so i have tons of it xD Quote
Brian Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Unfortunately no, Google Code doesn't have any project web hosting. There's Google App Engine though (but that won't run our IPB forums lol). I would rather the tracker be integrated into the forums...that way we can add members to the developers group and they have access to the tracker as well. With google Code, we'd have to add them to the group, add them to the SVN, and then add them to google Code >.<. Yea I agree, forum integration would be easiest, I was just thinking of other ideas What if we: 1. used Google Code for SVN hosting and issue tracking use SourceForge for a SVN mirror and project web hosting (forums) 2. or use SourceForge for SVN hosting and project web hosting (forums) and wait for the next IP.Tracker release or come up with an alternate for bug tracker Quote
Olrox Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I have a google account, since about 5 years. That is my primary email address used in msn, and almost everything. Google accounts, are, better than hotmail accounts. Since, with google you have: picassa, google + social network, youtube, android syncs (with my phone), live google docs, ... etc. Quote
