  1. Banning that sort of range would cover quite a bit of IPs which will probably do it but I would consult tracking your players and seeing where the majority of them are coming from or else you can potentially ban a large portion of them accidentally.

  4. You are correct with the 0201 replacing it with 0109. r586 outputs .rsws with the 0109 hex code where as r620 still uses 0201. What this does is it replaces black textures with transparent nodraws. So you no longer see it. Also how do you know my name? Do I know you?

However it is Mechomorph's choice to lend his map to you based on his own discretion. @Mechomorph - Before you do make any decision I recommend Chemical Crush's idea using r586 as proper quad-tree calcs aren't present in 620.

  9. If the other objects are rendering just fine then it's not because your walls haven't rendered, it's because either they haven't been raised up to your new terrain level or they have been deleted.
  10. Your terrain with textures applied to it can go under the water as long as it doesnt go below the 0 mark meaning when water level height = 0. BrowEdit's water level is inverted when it comes to height. Positive number height = DOWN & negative number height = UP.

  13. That sounds good. I like your 50x50 range so you cant just make a leech account to get prizes. It will be good to design quests so you will always be in areas surrounded by monsters. That way you cant leech. I look forward to seeing other ideas you have. =)
  14. Follow this guide carefully. As for updating your mapcache use WeeMapCache.
  15. 1. Change water height to -20 [Windows->Water] 2. Go to Global Height Editmode 3. Click CTRL + A [selects the Entire Ground Terrain] 4. Click Page-Up to Raise/Page Down to Lower the Ground. Rais the ground ABOVE the water line 5. After you have raised the ground above water line go to Group Object Edit 6. Click View->Top Camera and create a red box radius around the entire map by just Left-Mouse Clicking so it selects all the objects on the map. 7.Click Page-Up to raise all the objects you selected back to their proper positions on the raised terrain. 8. Save your map. Done.
  16. I've seen this occur in a few of my maps before as well. What I personally found to fix this issue is to raise the terrain level above a water height level of -20. After raising the terrain, clicking on a GAT responds perfectly with the client and you wont recieve any random delays or glitches.

  19. So the server isnt detecting the map OR you're unable to get the map files load from your client? Use WeeMapCache to pack your .GAT file of your map into your map_cache.dat so the server has the GATS read. You have the map properly installed on the server since you did add it to maps_athena and map_index. Now you just need to drop your map files (.GAT,.GND,.RSW - .EXTRA IS NOT NEEDED) into your data folder located in ROdata (make sure your client is diffed to read data folder first or else you will not load any maps).
