  1. Animation is not precise at looping. Needs more work.
  2. No need to ask that if there is already this tool. Regarding asking borf for it, I doubt that since is more a client side thing than the map itself. However is possible to call the clouds as effects in maps, although, the altitude is restricted or hardcoded to: the client or something I ignore. I hope this somehow can be manipulated to be used to a desired altitude at the time a custom map is created, consequently, by browedit 2.0 effects edition, in case this relies at this.
  3. Before I said skybox, not skymaps. Is just a fancy feature to only browedit interface, nothing to do with the game client map. @everyone Custom maps are not supported yet
  4. Revision 241 added. Development highlights: Model windows rendering done and working (partially, gives a crash at some models) Model windows placement at the map works Background to all the map editor (only gradient for now) New Blib version (a rendered by borf) Added readme (please read to check key shortcuts) Glitch at the scrolling window in texture edit mode is fixed Model properties window is working (although from previous releases, I forgot to mention it before) Link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uy06b3ds5r80gcb/AAAUNcW0YltlirAdan00EZvPa All development credits to Borf.
  5. That doesn't helps anything imo. Even worse, it closes the communication definitely of the users to him, I would say, its better to have at least, that possible contact still open upon request of members.
  6. Well, this guy already closed his facebook account.
  7. I feel like I have a totally contrary opinion with the -easy- part. I accept that keeping on the line of using only RO models to recreate areas requires creativity and vision; however, you can't afirm that using custom models or textures makes the work easier just like that. Making maps by only using browedit, requires to learn only one software. Now, If you include the custom models and textures part, then, everything changes. An extense diversification of other kind of tools becomes necessary to master and give a use... tools like : illustrator, maya, photoshop, or even maths. This is way far of saying its easier; even so, at the creativity part I mentioned, which is still a requirement at the way how you can handle and give a use to those mentioned tools. The correct term would be that custom models and textures gives advantage at mapping, but advantage doesn't means is easier. It requires more knoweledge indeed, and a complex one to learn and master.
  8. What client date are you using?
  9. I find better to learn how to install a server by yourself and hire a real hosting company. These guys are just individuals, with no real terms or disclaimers to keep on the line. With that being said, I've noticed that a lot of people that offers paid services, tends to show an exagerated "professional" presentation of theirselves. Even so, lying, when they refer as a group and they talk in terms of -plural- (like saying, -we- instead of -me-) I'm sure they could lie to even say, that they run an office of their "professional" business. I don't find why people has to lie to show a professional service. You can say, they are scamming you already by doing that.
  10. @Truly: ""I:/Shared/Games/PC/*/*.grf"" Is this how it looks at your conf? or you just added like this to show it to us at here? if so, is kinda weird. Probably you have errors by using asterisks. @Inzanity Opening, custom maps is something I believe is not supported yet. *I believe* <-- almost sure.
  11. What tool are you using to convert the 3ds max animation to RSM animation? because the ones I know that exists, are not compatible with browedit, as also, are limited to work specifically for certain range of client dates.
  12. Name of the model: ¶óÇï\¸ñ°ÉÀ̺¸°üÇÔ02.rsm Textures: tru_alpha copy.tga Link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/52175822/posted/model.rar
  13. Save a backup of your map. Load your map with browedit and go to the map clear tool. Select to remove all the objects and save your map, then, test it. If there is no crash, your issue is because there is a resource missing at your data.grf
  14. Easiest way to find an effect name is to diff a client without the "ignore missing file errors" patch, then, call the effect or skill with a modified data.grf without the whole effect directory inside of it.
  15. Could you tell us what graphic card you have? I asked borf regarding this error and seems your graphic card doesn't support his shader.
  16. Yes I have one suggestion: make your own textures instead of taking my own: http://rathena.org/board/topic/91745-showcase-kiragakure-the-land-of-mist-from-naruto/
  17. This is not a final release. Creating a new map would come in future revisions. And yes, its possible to open maps, please try better.
  18. You have to input your configuration file name, as it states in the console
  19. Gonna edit the topic with all that info, however they are already present in the video
  20. Please everyone: Look for the new and improved Browedit 2.0 at this link: http://rathena.org/board/topic/95490-browedit-20-a-new-revision-by-borf/ The Java version of browedit (currently at this topic) is no longer supported. Probably both threads will be merged for easy access soon. Thank you!
  21. I don't think is an error, it asks for the configuration file name, which you have to input the name of the file you edited, it would be: config.borf.json
  22. Revision 279 added. (2014-08-28_browedit_20_rev-279.rar) Full BrowEdit 2.0 SVN Log: http://svnlog.borf.info/browedit.log Download Link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uy06b3ds5r80gcb/AAAUNcW0YltlirAdan00EZvPa Edit: config.borf.json with your current RO directories. Input with your keyboard your config name once you open browedit.exe and asks for it. Your graphic card must support OpenGL 2.0+~ to run this software. Whats new: Major Update: Mirror or Simmetry at object edit mode: allows to mirror complete maps at the RSW file. Useful for simmetry maps. Experimental for now. (press M to simmetry) Major Update: Bug reporting: Extension, once you have a crash, a crashlog can be send to borf by mail. Major Update: Height edit mode: Initial work at this mode. Left click to select an amount of tiles, right click and drag to add height or decrease it. Look for the radial menu (spacebar) to find the "height edit tools option" and disable the smoothness at heights. General bugs fixed and clean ups. Introduction: We all know how great and useful is browedit these days, that it has become the unique choice at Ragnarok Mapping. We will always be thankful to @Borf, who has created this tool years ago, and now, since the past year, he has been working with a new version of it. This project replaces the old one %5Blink%5D that was the previous and Old Java version of Browedit 2.0 *which is no longer used*. This thread will have regular updates about the project. Any kind of feedbacks and suggestions are always welcome. Video: (Video pretty says all of how browedit has improved greatly) Screenshots: Features already working: Faster and more efficient, even at complex camera distances. Real-Time Rendering of Changes Made Multi Core support (before, past browedits were only for 1 core) RSM Animation Texture Edit mode *partially* Texture window list (which is optimized and loads fast) Object Edit Mode *partially* (which now, replaces object group edit mode of past brows) Rotate, Position, Resizing and multi selection are supported. Sounds Effects Some TODO: Water rendering Add Undo Structure (probably Redo aswell) Config Window Start Working on More Edit Modes. Saving. Add Skybox (a fancy feature that will add sky to maps. Probably it can be linked to fogparametertable.txt) Possible New Features: New Lightmaps Proper Lightmap calculations across models 3D RSM Models editor inside Browedit probably with animation support (/me hopes) Multi-User Share Mapping (multiple mappers could work on a same map in real time) We have to be thankful with @Borf that has been working on this project for a long time. If you have programming skills, you can be part of this project, please don't hesitate to contact me by PM. Please support the project by giving us feedback and nice or useful ideas that would make browedit 2.0 improve. Also, please avoid to report constantly bugs or glitches, one time is enough. Keep in mind this is under progress and not a release version. Motivation is always welcome. Share this project and show us your support to make it possible.
