  3. Well, as far as we know current rA VIP system just an initial release to bring VIP system like on official RO. And now, here my review and suggestions for next VIP System. Other games, make me think we need these system. VIP Level 0 (non-VIP), VIP Level 1 (VIP1), VIP Level 2 (VIP2), VIP Level 3 (VIP3), VIP Level 'n'(VIPn). Why not? I bet you all ever know game that has this VIP classification, and each VIP level will gives player different advantages. So, what are the advantages for each level? We need file to store configs for each VIP level (like groups.conf), that allow us to set: char_slots: <amount>Just like current 'vip_char_increase'. But, this one can give you flexible char slot. Example, you make MAX_CHARS on mmo.h is 12, 'char_slots' for non-VIP is 4, VIP1 is 6, VIP2, is 9, VIP3 is 12. Why not? storage_max: <amount>I think you can guess what. Just like char_slots. This one will replace 'vip_storage_increase' exp_bonus: <base>{,<job>} Well, or maybe add more exp bonus rates (I think Athena has more than 1 exp rates). It always be additional rate, example 'base_exp' is 100, and the exp_bonus for this VIP level is 25, so it will be 125% (100% + 25%) exp_penalty: <rate_base>{,<rate_job>}Value between -100 ~ 100 (or more?). How if -50? That's mean, normal penalty rate will be reduced 50%. If the normal is 3% of EXP, this VIP level only has 1.5% EXP penalty. drop_bonus: <common rate>,{<etc>}Just like 'exp_bonus' vip_gemstone: yesSeems like VIP permission? skill: skill_id{, skill_id, ...}How if for certain VIP level, they get additional skills? You can put your custom skills here. But hmm, you can done this by scripting, make NPC, talk with that NPC, check the VIP level, then give the skill(s). buff_rate: { <item_id>:<additional_rate>,<item_id>,<additional_rate>,... }This is will replace 'vip_bm_increase'. But I think if by scripting is enough, like switch(is_vip()) { case 0: /* do this */ break; case 1: /* do this */ break; case 2: /* do this */ break; } buff_duration: { <item_id>:<additional_duration>,<item_id>,<additional_duration>,... }After 'additional_rate', I think the additional duration would be nice idea too. Add duration rate specified item that gives player buff duration (sc_start* or bonus_script). Example 'x_Battle_Field' that only give 60 minutes duration, and the additonal duration is 50, it will get extra 50% of original duration (30 mnts) for this VIP level. But I think if by scripting is enough, like switch(is_vip()) { case 0: /* do this */ break; case 1: /* do this */ break; case 2: /* do this */ break; } some permission to bypass item_nouse, skill_nocast & item_noequip? (This will give your rich players more overpower! ) special forge or cooking items? Maybe just add new column on db/produce_db.txt for min. VIP level also, since doesn't use 'vip_group', maybe can add the additional commands and permissions too. Afterall, remove 'old_group_id' on login table, than add 'vip_level' on that table.

  6. 1) Noitemtrade that could be usefull but it's kinda the same idea as item_trade.txt (they both restrict item exchange) so instead having a mapflag for this I'd rather have a option for that in this db. Or maybe we could have both so item_trade.txt would stay item specific while the mapflag will prevent anykind of trade?? (not sure yet I just don't like having similar concept into multiple file as it's confusing after..) Anyway noitemtrade mapflag is a pretty easy src edit with no offi usage yet (I think) so the necesity of us adding this is limited. (What I really mean is that we could add hundred of mapflag for various reason, so I think we should choose the one that would be the more usefull to not tend to a bloatware. If you understand the mapflag concept, that one is easy enough to not have us to do it for you) 2) Idk what is that, this one look a bit more interesting as it doesn't look as intuitive as adding a mapflag with a restriction on it. 3) Medium difficulty but look really like a addon / mod 4) See guildhp is something I would be ok to add as a battleflag 5) Need a list to comment it but script and atcommand are imo the the easiest module to start off, (due to low couplage) so that like level 1, we have an infinity of script command that could be added, some may be usefull some bof, if we go to the end all src fonction could somewhat have script equivalent. (So that admin won't have to reboot to apply change etc..). But script are slower then src (always) so in the end it doesn't sound like the solution. Imo I think we should judge each script command, now if it's a suplement of an existing funciton and that it keep backward then ye go on. But mostof time anyway if there something thatit's not possible to do it in script actually will add a command tomake it so. 6) This sound like guardian, best would be to revamp monster of guardian command to add parameter to makethem ally or specify their maxhp and such.

  9. hello, thanks for your help. but i tried it and use @reloaditemdb but nothing happens. still i can cast 2 sonic blow spam. do i need to restart the server before the change take effect? any advice? yep restart ur server for the changes to make effect

  10. Google is probably your best friend for this. You can just Google for, say, "stone texture", but if that looks too real for you to have in RO, you could always add "game" infront of it. You'll be getting results like this , or this , or this. There are also other ways especially if you want to make a map that's based on a map from another game.

  17. Depending on who's hosting the server you can play from any pc since the server saves everything in mySQL. I you are hosting the server and you want to play on a different pc without being in the same network. You need to install wamp, and use that as MySQL - back up all your existing sql databases and remove MySQL. Check rathena's wiki on how to remove sql in the right way. So now run the installer. Click on wamp in the system tray and run phpmyadmin. Login is root no password Now import all sql files from the rathena folder as you did when you installed MySQL Now import your back up files. - this wil restore all your data Go to your wamp folder and find the apache folder, locate the httpd document and open it with a text editor. Find deny from all and change it into allow from all. Now open port 80,5121,6121,6900 in your router and connect it to the machine running the server. Now find your ro folder and open clientinfo.xml. <Address>127.0.0.1</address> needs to be replaced with your WAN something like <adress>67.123.34.78</address> Now go to your rathena folder/conf and open map and char.conf change the 1st localhost/127.0.01 to your WAN and the 3rd to your LAN Finding out your WAN, go to google and type in myIP press enter Finding out your LAN, in windows, go to your search/command window and type in cmd on the next screen type in ipconfig IPv4............................. whatever numbers and dots are filled in here is your LAN all right i'm gonna try that thank you.
