Ragnarok English Translation Project by llchrisll

Hello and welcome to the continued English translation project, started by @zackdreaver.

Many may know already that zackdreaver stopped with his project and that I continued with it since then. See here.

First of all thanks to zackdreaver for his time and passion, which he contributed so far with his project. But since there was no one else who had a project like his or someone who took his/her time to do all this work, I thought I could take over and learned the way to do it.

I made a lot of progress so far regarding translations, skill rebalances and 2020 client support.

Lately I also added the required files for pre-renewal, which still follows the same format as zackdreaver's ROEnglishPRE repo, by overwriting the renewal project files with the pre-renewal files.

I also have an discord server setup for  faster support, issue reporting and more. Link can be found at the repo above.

The difference between these two projects is also how it is installed, but to make things easier I setup a documentation site:

If you experience any trouble using this project, please use the discord server  because I rarely visit the rAthena forum.

Hi Chris,

could you help me with my problem at this thread 

Since you change github repository folder structure from ragnarok into renewal, i can't get enter map server if the map have mini map.

I don't know what issue is this, because already try many composition with diff and changes in translation files, but still got the same error.

If you know about this error please tell me, thanks before.

hello everyone, im newbie in this forum also newbie about programing, can some one help me how to add translation onto my ragnarok file? its need a program or i just need to copy and paste? thanks everyone before

download tortoise svn

create folder: ROenglishRE

left click to that folder, Svn checkout

paste to the url box:
https://github.com/llchrisll/ROenglishRE

Ok, and download. 

add those files "the Data folder"  into a custom grf, with your clientinfo. repack, and run the exe.

The system folder is for your client folder, not to the grf.

my server was fine before, but i figure i want to update it to the latest version currently, my server is Pre-re so i just overwrite pre re over renewal and upload all the rest of the file data i repack them and put on my thor web for patching, next thing i know in login screen i cant see my server name, try login but nothing happen just freeze and the game close..

Edited / solution : I found out that the server read clientinfo, while i was using silentinfo, so i just copy the details from my silentinfo to clientinfo, reupload the new file, delete my .dat file, redownload everything, and it works now, on nemo there on search box just type in "load"

this here was the issue
