Chemical Crush Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Hey Guys! I haven't posted here in a good bit, just wanted to show off the old novice grounds that I've redone. I hope you guys like it. It's really just more recent models and textures. For the indoors, I kept the original Gravity lighting, you may see some errors in the shadows because of this, but its not too noticeable. 6 Quote
Azura Skyy Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Curious how close to the original gats you stay? Interior looks like it matches 1:1 but the first island where you start looks different than I remember. Either way the map is charming. Would like to see other maps updated in the future. Regards, ~Azura Skyy Quote
Radian Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Very nice work there @Chemical Crush as always! Quote

As for the outside of the 1st part, the gats were altered because of more decoration / moved decoration. 3 hours ago, TARTs said: Cool ! If you have an updated grf, with the NEW prontera, these models and textures should be there. 12 minutes ago, Squirtle01 said: Very beautiful design and nice idea! renewing classic maps is a very good idea! Everade Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Looks really great, although i don't understand why you would put that weight on your shoulders to update these old ones. The Novice Grounds have been entirely redesigned by gravity which features great improvements on the learn progress for newbies. So you start in izlude, not on that old beginners map anymore. Quote

This is not entirely true, there are some servers who still use the old novice grounds, plus it was a request. Simply showing off what was requested of me, I dont feel that updating older maps is a hassle or anything. Sure there is the new izlude map, but I always loved the old novice grounds. Thanks though.
