i believe you're asked them in wrong question, one of my friends able to request to open port for his fluxcp, you can try asking to open port for only outgoing/outbond port (not incoming), and tell them in details that open port just for checking the another server online. if you cant, just request for refund, and buy from another provider.. godaddy kinda expensive

this might not your answer that youre looking for, but mostly shared hosting will only open specific outgoing port only, i believe you can try request.. they normally will open the port for you.

for Asia Linode is more cheap than digitalocean, you can get 1gb ram for 5usd

yes it is possible @maxine02 here the step @norirag 1. just create github page, 2. upload thor patcher file , config it like always 3. because thor patcher does not support https (default domain github page always use https) so you need to use custom domain, register some free domains, .tk .ml or what so ever and change the nameserver to use github page DNS, 4. upload the patcher file, 5. then try update your client using thor patcher

Requesting for anyone who has an updated database

you can try from @zackdreaver git, i found it more updated since he also update according to what he have in his translation git https://github.com/zackdreaver/rAitemDB but this only itemdb and itemcombo.. for the others thing, just use the one from rathena, for instances that doesn't support yet by rathena, you can buy it from @Emistry or from another devs that sell it -
chmod -R 755 /var/www/html this should solve the permission (your website should work after this fix permission)., just for security reasons, you are encourage to change the user of the folder to www user,

try this chown -R www-data /var/www/html

lol. line by line, don't copy all and put all together, don't use sudo because youre already root user ignore the sudo

fix permission of your file, sudo chown -R www-data: /var/www/html sudo chmod -R 755 /var/www/html

no need folder, just paste whole file inside html, im pretty sure youre not check your apache server is running fine or not first https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-stack-on-ubuntu-16-04

then just paste the fluxcp file into /var/www/html/ after you set up the db user and password inside the server.php

just to make we all clear, your VPS, are you already setup apache/nginx server in your VPS? normally you need to setup apache server first when youre using VPS, this is different if youre using shared hosting which already have cpanel, and you can just put the fluxcp file into /public_html

not that file i guess, remove back what you add, and add at /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf add at last line -

add this to your my.ini/my.cnf sql_mode = NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION,STRICT_TRANS_TABLES after [mysqld] for temporary fix -
Yes it will work, you only need outgoing port only.
