  2. Help protest against SOPA and PIPA Have you heard about SOPA and PIPA? What is SOPA and PIPA *Information taken from Wikipedia SOPA and PIPA represent two bills in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate respectively. SOPA is short for the "Stop Online Piracy Act," and PIPA is an acronym for the "Protect IP Act." ("IP" stands for "intellectual property.") In short, these bills are efforts to stop copyright infringement committed by foreign web sites, but, in our opinion, they do so in a way that actually infringes free expression while harming the Internet. Detailed information about these bills can be found in the Stop Online Piracy Act and PROTECT IP Act articles on Wikipedia, which are available during the blackout. GovTrack lets you follow both bills through the legislative process:SOPA on this page, and PIPA on this one. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the public interest in the digital realm, has summarized why these bills are simply unacceptable in a world that values an open, secure, and free Internet. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SOPA and PIPA are, in a way, evil. Mozilla Firefox, FaceBook, Wikipedia, ComputerWorld, Google and so many other sites are protesting against SOPA and PIPA to make the internet free of such things. If SOPA and PIPA wins the protest, hundreds of sites that you use daily for entertainment, communication and so much more will be removed. Your so much loved, Wikipedia will be blacked out and removed, like it was on January 19th 2012. Wikipedia and many, many other sites were blacked out or are blacked out to fight against this act, let the world know what this can do to all these sites, and let SOPA and PIPA know what damage and horrible acts they are doing or what they will do if this protest is lost. IF YOU AGREE WITH THIS PROTEST, AND WANT TO HELP FIGHT SOPA AND PIPA, POST A REPLY IN THIS TOPIC OR CHECK OUT WHAT IT CAN DO TO YOU http://www.1stwebdes...can-affect-you/

  3. In my opinion this would be an src edit to disable/check if this npc is used or not. Well here is my script: prontera,150,180,0 script SavePoint 100,{ set .n$,"["+strnpcinfo(1)+"]"; setarray .x[0],50,60,70,80,90; setarray .y[0],50,60,70,80,90; mes .n$; mes "Do you want to save?"; if(select("- Yes:- No") - 1) close; next; set n_save,1; mes .n$; Your Savepoint has been saved."; close; OnPCDieEvent: if(n_save) { set coord,rand(6); warp "SavePoint",.x[coord],.y[coord]; } end; } I hope it's working and it was of help. 7. Wiki: SVN_Checkout This will download all the files for you in that SVN tab. It is also a useful tool to update those files when fixes or new content is added to rAthena.

  9. The rain "effect" was used in the Older versions of clients (way back).. I was told this.. But anyways, there's no possible way that I know of, of bringing it back unless you plan on hexing the effect into your clients.

  10. We need more people to call their senators. Most of their sentors will vote yes because they're being paid despite the majority of the state being againist it. If we don't make our voices heard and spam their phone lines with objections they will just continue to vote yes and support this bill. We don't need our rights infringed. This is America, founded on the idea of unalienable rights.

  11. I hate SOPA, and PIPA. I've been fighting it since it was known as Protect-IP. They've lost a lot of supporters because of all the "black-outs" today - which is awesome!

  12. Did you edit this config setting to 'no'? rathena/trunk/conf/login_athena.conf //If new_account is enabled, minimum length to userid and passwords should be 4? //Must be 'Yes' unless your client uses both 'Disable 4 LetterUserID/Password' Diffs new_acc_length_limit: yes

  13. Well, you probably heard of this, but RO tends to attract old players back somehow... I agree it may be related to nostalgia--you want to play with friends once again, or that you played other games but always find RO to be the best in the end (due to the gameplay, way of community communication, etc). I find RO to be simpler and easier to handle than some of the other games out there (like Perfect World, which really has amazing graphics), and that's the style of games I enjoy playing (RO, Gunbound, etc). I'm pretty sure private servers are worth it. They're worth the experience at least, to be a player, a GM, and/or an Administrator. And for those who want to recreate a server (not their first time managing the server), as long as you have the motivation to see your work through, then you should try it. It may be discouraging at first, but if you really improve the server and keep updating it, the fruits of your results will be yours for the taking (satisfcation mainly). The reason I became an Administrator before was for my friends, so I managed the server for the moment, experience, and memories that form. Even when I see a new player joining a server, I feel pretty content about it. "At least someone is trying out my work." You'll only grow from here.

  14. I agree with Gepard, this is how I always did. If don't there is some official information from kRO, just wait new updates in iRO. The only significant difference of kRO for iRO is the formula of ASPD and there are small differences as the formula for MATK, with a difference of 2 points, but this is not relevant. About skill updates, no need to be constantly updated. It is preferable to wait and get the informations in iRO, because kRO have constant changes and this would be a work for nothing.

  15. I think it's actually quite simple. Every time it's possible, we should follow kRO, in other case follow iRO. To be precise, if we have exact and complete info how something works in kRO, just do it this way. If we don't have enough info, it's better to have iRO version of a feature implemented (hopefully temporarily until kRO data is gathered) than nothing at all.

  16. Agreed. There's no reason not to help anyone regardless of their hosting setup. If you prefer not to help those that are using no-ip and home pc's, simply don't respond. Closing Topic
