Yes, that is normal if your client is too old.

Updated to 2.4.7, undoes settings removal in 2.4.5, improves performance and stability, and adds support for idRO (region-locked). There is also some more stuff to read in the doc/ folder.

Updated to 2.4.8, adds support for ASLR and DEP, improves kRO mirror balancing and the GRF repacking scenario.

Updated to 2.4.9, fixes, among others, some elevation-related issues.

Updated to 2.4.10, fixes mirror selection issues and adds an option to always patch from kRO mirrors.

For the time being this is probably the last update to RO Patcher Lite before ELUR is released.

Check if patch.inf is not write-protected (right-click on file, properties, uncheck read-only).

Updated to 2.4.12, improves download performance and stability, and fixes minor UI glitches and memory leaks.

RO Patcher Lite is for updating official RO data (such as kRO's data.grf and rdata.grf). Thor Patcher is for updating anything else (custom data).

Help on how to use RO Patcher Lite can be found here.

Problem updating with rsu-kro-rag-lite:

Out of memory, out of disk space, corrupted download (non-mirror downloads have no integrity check) or force majeure. Try again and see if it persists.

Spoiler

Seeing it runs on Windows 10, it might also be Windows Defender interfering.

I'm having the same error, in the same file, every time. The Windows Defender is already disabled.

What path (like D:\Games\RO\...) do you two have the patcher in? So far I'm not able to reproduce this.

Figured out, this happens due to broken files on one of the mirrors. Try again.

Edit:

Updated to 2.4.14, fixes incorrect handling of mirror failures introduced in last release.

Updated to 2.4.15, adds support for GRF resets employed on sakray servers and fixes a bunch of various issues, among others, patch failures caused by non-standard file attributes on NT platforms.

Clear your IE cache and try again.

Edit:

Updated to 2.4.16, updates kRO patch information to reflect a change in the patch transfer protocol (HTTP). This update is needed to continue receiving new kRO patches whether you use the mirror server or not.

Note, that the new patch server seems currently overloaded. The kRO mirror should have those files around Saturday/Sunday after the sync-toolchain has been updated.

Hello,

I would like to create my own RO server, but I have a problem with patcher. I tried to use this patcher, but the patcher still download patches from webpatch.ragnarok.co.kr. I edited ini file with this configuration:

[rsu]
LastUpdateCheckedOn=1032959
[rsu.patchinfo]
InfFile = patchRE.inf
GrfFile = my.grf
ExeFile = test.exe
WebSite = my.url
WebPort = 80
WebPath = /patch
WebDeny = patch_allow_RE.txt
WebList = patchRE3.txt

But patching still doesn't work :( Can you help me with this issue please?

Thank you

Hello Ai4rei,

Does the lastest version of your patcher work with updating other content, like for jRO? I know you have already said there was a bundle that contained everything for almost all official ROs, but I'm not sure about this one.

EDIT:

Nvm, already found them I guess.. thank you for making this possible!

Three possibilities:

  • Patcher version not latest, update to 2.4.16.
  • Too old client data.
  • Patch.inf/PatchRE.inf missing.

Just a random thought...

I am looking for a way to automatically execute the RO patcher lite every month to update the kRO or iRO or any others...

At the moment, I manage to do this by using task scheduler to auto execute this program and update the RO.

However, all it does are just startup this program, but it cant auto close/kill the program when the update completed..

Is there a way for us to run this RO patcher lite to update the kRO..and then auto close it once the update its done?

something like we do this through a command prompt process and run in the background if it even possible?

What a coincidence, that's exactly how I update all my official RO data. The required magic for it is in command line switches:

rsu.exe /updateonly

Fix: /autostart applies to custom builds only
