Syouji Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 Looks good. What video card do you have? Quote

Syouji Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 Good. Your card should be fine in terms of OpenGL requirement. Quote
Syouji Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 In your error message, it says invalid configuration. Perhaps you might have some sort of syntax error somewhere. Double check to make sure there aren't extras "spaces" or missing "[" or "]". Compare yours with the default json.settings. Quote
Syouji Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 I'm sure many of you have been waiting for an update on this project for quite sometime. BrowEdit 2.0 has taken a turn and will be undergoing major redevelopment changes. Instead of being designed in Java (initially) it's now taking a complete remodel in C++. This is due to some unexpected issues. So if anyone is interested in participating with Borf & his team and you're competent programming in C++, drop me a PM and I'll inform Borf. Quote
Relzz Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Cool, more compatible! I really hate Java.. Is heavy for my PC Quote
Syouji Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 I'm not sure, but I wouldn't worry about it. Just use the current BrowEdit builds (r568, r620). The new BrowEdit will look a lot better =) Quote
boylive Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) @Syouji if brow 2.0 in C++ can compatible previous version VGA support openGL 2.0 2.1 ? Edited April 9, 2013 by boylive Quote
Relzz Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Yeah do that :/ at least same support as normal browedit Quote
Olrox Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I bet that the OpenGL change is way too hard to switch at this point of work. Borf has been working a lot in the new browedit with the OpenGL actual ver. Sorry about that, but I'm sure all of this is for having a more powerful map editor. If you ask me, it runs like a charm. 1 Quote
whitesn Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) Do you have any method to check whether the video card supports OpenGL 4.3 or the version that meets BE's req? I'm using ATI Mobility Radeon 5000, it's running but doesn't show the prontera map, and the open button doesn't work Edited June 28, 2013 by 2essy2killu Quote
boylive Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Borf Please come back again ... you ok ????? Quote
Venture Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Subscribed. I do hope this project is revived, no logs since march.. Edited October 14, 2013 by gekigengar Quote
Olrox Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 It was some months ago that borf suddenly paused it. I don't know the reasons (maybe he is busy at other projects like his own game) I'll try to ask him if he is planning to continue it. Quote
Azura Skyy Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I just now found this thread... Please let this become a thing. Wish I was C++ competent.~Azura Skyy Quote
Olrox Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I contacted borf today. He is really busy at the moment with really high priority stuff on his life (which I'm glad) I don't believe he will have time to this soon. In any case, we have used browedit for years, I don't mind if we would have to wait 1 or even 3 years more for a new browedit 2.0 Edit: I'll gonna ask him every time or so if he has some time around again, but really don't expect news in less than several months.
