  1. You should be using browedit 1.0 when you work with custom models. 2.0 is compatible but not 100%. Just add it to the model directory of your grf and load it. Make sure the textures are 24bits bmps, and thats it. Save your map but with browedit 1 I dont know if this is the first time you add custom model, but if it is, you should try first to re-texture an official RO model and test to add it in game as an unique model, to see how things works out when you make it read on your grf before making your customs. Then after you are sure this model is being read, replace the .rsm file with your custom.
  2. Hi there. You have to get used to this if you want to get into 3D and ragnarok maps. Nothing works. I myself learn new tricks each day. That model is bad, should be 1k polygons, optimize it (surface modifiers or... just split it in different parts) (select half of polygons, select detach, export selection as single object <- repeat)
  3. Always when you have map crashes do this: open the map in browedit, go for the clean map function and start all over cleaning each feature one by one (models, textures) Test in game for each clean up you do and you'll find the reason why it crashes. By then, we can give you more options to resolve the error. And btw the maps should be always square dimentions if you use the new map function in browedit.
  4. Yes you have a lot of ways to convert them in unity. Look at our tools in downloads to convert rsm to any universal 3d format then you can use them in unity.
  5. Wrong section, this is the showcase forum.
  6. Nice map over there keep going, I'm sure you'll do great work soon
  7. I had the exact same feeling. Thought I was the only one lol
  8. Nah, I find this cumbersome with too much work. I mean so what? the guy who paid for the file now has your file and he can upload it free anywhere... it never ends. Another point, who verifies the file if it is protected tho? I mean, so suppose this... now is rA that has to trust *me* to upload a file and trust that I'm uploading something good as they don't have access to check it. I think that as an author, all you have is to trust at certain point and do your own decision to upload a file or not. You end to have traffic (a lot) thx to rA hosting, and might end with some cash in your pockets, but really? someone has to verify the files lol. Just keep the system like it is now.
  9. No reason to speak loud about past incidents imo I myself ended to err, not enjoy the last system that much lol but anyways, one thing is true: there is dispposal by the current administration to fix things that turned out bad in the past. And thats gold. Lets just see how it goes.
  10. Thats nice I just saw another T-Shirt which I'm taking for sure. Just looked at the withdrawal too and seems to recommend a fixed amount to speed up the operation. Well just did one, lets see how it goes Edit¨ btw great changes you are doing community seems very active around
  11. Better be careful with high poly models. We recommend to split to 2000 faces. You might see some models with more faces work tho, (like that of 9k) sometimes, but most of the times can make your client crash. Regarding animation you have 2 options, and I did two videos on my channel, one with RSM ro models (only supported with old clients tho) or as npc GR2 models (supported by all clients)
  12. Nice one. Good to have you show your work :33
  13. @Akkarin I just saw this thread. Good that you are considering to bring the system back. I had content there, and I think I was one of the most sellers too. Just a question tho... I have a lot of credits ($585 more precisely) of sells or charge backs by the previous system which I never got as payments. I know you were not in charge of that when I requested those. So I think im right to ask here more precisely: Will I ever have some of those credits as cash (like sort at least or credits on new system or whatever?) or should I just forget it?
  14. Hi there, browedit has no limits but the RO client has: 1500 to 2000 as said before. I have to disagree about the increased limit tho, is the same even by recent RO clients. Recent models have better quality yes, but what Gravity does is they split some buildings in pieces (for ex. new prontera church) so they can trick that face limit.
  15. ^ The surface is not good. Change to skeleton view in max (I remember it was F3 or F4) and check that area. Glad it worked btw.
  16. Means you have empty texture on those squares or transparent texture. I can only relate it to textures in that area of those water boxes.
  17. Okay read, here is your solution: disable shadows in RO models. How? well you have to open your RSM file in hex editor and find this string: Change that 01 to 00, if you want to disable shadows in only that RO model, or change to 02 to add smooth shadows (very very useful in rounded models)
  18. Nice, got a new badge looks good among the others. Nice see activity from the staff btw. @Akkarin what about people as me who had the donator tag... shouldnt we had to return to our previous group? I just read all the topic
  19. I like dungeon maps keep the good work!
  20. You can convert older version of fbx and bring them in newer versions of max. But what you need to do is, by using the 2015/2016 versions you have, just export it to FBX and then you can download FBX converter from autodesk. By using that tool you can convert whichever version of a FBX file to older formats.

Have you tried to refresh your map cache?
  22. I;m a big fan of el dorado harbor Good map, amazing work
  23. You are using the wrong FBX version Xarple rsm converter only accepts one specific version of FBX, right now I dont remember, but I believe it was around 2011. Perhaps you can watch one of our tutorials and make sure you are using the right FBX version ?
  24. Hi the error is by overlapping vertex. The surface of your model is not flat, a face or a triangle of the model is overcoming that surface. In browedit looks okay because it renders different than in Ragnarok. Means you must fix the model in 3d software. Maybe you can upload the model to see if we can help. Edit: and by flat I mean, that vertex is not joining the others by the exact x,y,z coordinates to make a flat surface.
  25. The error is about how your graphic card renders that model and so others. Try maybe to change to a generic video driver render in your computer instead of your card, and try again. (control panel -> uninstall driver -> add legacy hardware -> generic video driver) ^ or just update the drivers. this as just a test
