  1. Can someone explain me why w/o edit anything things works fine but when i try to change the inventory tabs (the default long name) to something shorter i get some translation errors like !ç¡# in the first game window ("Do you agree?") and how to fix it?
  2. thx i made some progress by myself now im trying to figure out out why my 2013-08-07.exe dont start, actually it dont do anything after i click it xD Edit: Using Loki's launcher (the only way i got to make it work idk why) and now im trying to figure out why i get "ungeristered ID" Hexing w/ NEMO patcher no more need the launcher but now got "attempt to call a nil value" and the game crashes after login. "nil value" caused by add custom shield option[solved] but still crashes after log in. Logged in, just a wrong version problem xD Now the real work starts :3

Like OMG a lot of things changed since the last time... can someone point me directions again plz? i was following the basics from the wiki but im so lost now... like a 101 video or something would be awesome. Im setting up a server but im getting an error "cannot open System/iteminfo.lua: No such file or directory" i followed many guides like: wiki This tutorial tried this data among many others. i want to try solo this time since the last times my teams always gave up at some point but i do LOVE RO and i really want to this project to become real also learn more stuff that i left behind so plz if a kind soul could help me id be glad :>

  5. sry if i read wrong, im kinda tired =P but if you want to disable skills or items in some maps you can use mapflags, adding the ones you dont want to be used to the list
  6. If in the field probably the max zoom option you chose when making the hexed. If indoors, case of some maps like abbey its normal, you can change it in the indoorrswtable.txt
  7. Any weapon equipped by a GM char (with GM Clothes) will shows up as a sword

  10. actually i didnt because that was the whole point of the tutorial RO and RO2 are like that, actually RO have more visible models than RO2 path (i havent touched that) i had a model that was maybe too small so i re scaled it but again crashed. can it be too big now?
  11. Well this is my first attempt to use browedit so i watched all Syouji's and Olrox tutorials. I downloaded the version uploaded by Syouji, the fbx20133.3 from autodesk and the rsm converter by Xarple in Olrox's tutorials Using 3D Max Design 2012 64bits i made some models(really simple low poly), animated it (just position) saved like Olrox said in the tutorials but when i try to open it, beside one thats just a box everything else crashes browedit. Selected Node custom terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): std::bad_alloc anybody knows what i did wrong? Another thing is when i open browedit there's some missing models, a lot actually. Some directories like RO2 are almost empty (idk if its Syouji's custom folders), the rest is missing half of the models or more. Is that something to do w/ my grf's path? because i checked it twice and it seems fine

  14. each char have a limit of 10 bonus, if you flood your gears with cards using @item2 or increasing the number of slots of the gears you probably gonna face this situation.

  16. hmm so if its just to import RO models to max i guess i'll pass, i feel no need for it atm Edit: I'm still trying to figure out why my animated models give me errors... aside polygons limit and parenting there's anything else that makes browedit crash?
  17. i still have problems adding npcs too one thing you can do is add the sprite as monster then use the id in your npc btw i dont recommend to summon the monster.
  18. do the rsm converter have any restriction about shape types or limit of parented objects? i made a multi part animated model but it fail to convert the second piece and forward (some plane shapes and a box). i get a name.fbm folder w/ the texture but no rsm model, "Wrong occurs!" error. another question is: do i really need 3dmax 2013? i ask because i have the indesign 2012 + the 2013.3 plugin and 2013 is a 10gb download also im kinda short in HD space =_=' ediit: sry im w/ a strong flu so im not thinking clearly =_=
  19. you can try to get a new mapnametable here . like i said the data.grf and rdata.grf will only be used to store and read the kRO files so theres no need to edit it :3 and yeah, rename a map w/o use programs probably caused the error. one thing you can try, even if idk if its correct or not is: leave everything as it is but add a copy of the new map w/ the original name to the grf. Dont add it to any txt file or anything else, just drop the files, repack the grf and try again.
  20. im using rathena 17165 (havent updated a some time ) you dont have to add or edit data or rdata grfs, actually it's not a good idea mess w/ those files, add the custom stuff to your grf or make a new grfs for dif contents instead. all 3 files goes inside the data folder, together w/ sprite, texture, model, luafiles and other folders. Just drop it there, it may looks messy since you probably gonna have dif types of files like folders, desc tables.txt and things like that but thats ok, If you open one of the Gravity's grfs for curiosity you can see thats how they add maps too. about the errors can, you post a pic of it? some things that can cause errors (not always tho) is missing textures and models. If you downloaded a map that have extra files make sure to add it to the respective folders. I downloaded a few maps that simply doesn't work, when i warp to it the client just crash and idk why ._. one more thing, to rename maps you cant just right click and change the name of the file, to do it you must use a program like browedit or you will get errors.

  24. old morroc have a castle. the morroc w/ a big hole where the castle was suppose to be is the satan morroc episode when the thing destroy the castle in the escape process. theres 2 other morroc, the first and smaller one from many years ago and now seems like satan was defeated and they started to rebuild the town in the chapter 14.x

I have some questions... the answer is probably no but anyway =P 1- there's how to animate textures in RO? like in 3D max you can save a bmp sequence and use as animated texture but do this work in browedit/RO? 2- in some maps like endless tower theres some moving pieces like a chain around some pillars, thats a textured model like windmill or the weapon shops i guess, so how do i export models w/ animation to be read in browedit? 3- there's how to animate lights? like make it flick or turn on/off w/ time?
