    Howdy! Welcome to rA, Muad_Dib
  6. /me applies chapstick. Hold onto your seat. All jesting aside, thank you!!!
  7. No idea where to post this, but I made the suggestion to lilcooldude69 in IRC to make such a tool for the community. I'm aware that there's a PHP script somewhere (I personally can't find it unfortunately) that does this already, however, having an actual program on the computer that people can simply run, would be wonderful, as not everyone has access to a php enabled web host, an many others are just too lazy to install php to their computer. That said, requesting for public release to the community a program that splits and renames 1024x768 images for login screen usage.

    LUB to LUA?

You need to use an non-diffed client. I'll let you play scavenger hunt the rA forum for a link to a client repository.

    LUB to LUA?

In Shin's Diff Patcher (see my response for the link to download it; See Arc's on how to download it), go to the bottom of the program, and in the drop down menu, select the option that's not the default one. Then select the increase view ID patch, enter the number you want, patch, and voila.

    LUB to LUA?

Shin's Diff Patcher: http://rathena.org/board/topic/53420-shins-diff-patcher/ Increase View ID to at LEAST 2,000 so you have plenty of room for additional sprites. Good luck!

    LUB to LUA?

Make certain your client is hexed to read lua before lub files, otherwise your edits to the .lua files aren't going to be read at all. Second, make certain the sprites are in the correct folders WITH the correct file names. Sprites must be in: ¾Ç¼¼»Ç¸® Which contains two folders (for genders): ³² (male) ¿© (female) In the male folder, prefix filenames with: ³²_ In the female folder, prefix filenames with ¿©_ Make certain you also have the .act files in the correct folders with the sprites. The image you posted... http://i.imgur.com/GI6mM.png Shows that the .act file is not in the proper location in the male gender folder. Further, make sure your max view on the client supports view ID # 1202. I'd raise it to 2,000 personally.
  12. If it's an MD5 issue, you will want to look at your login table of your game database. If the passwords look like asdf09asdvm0w923lgk2nm2wv9 then MD5 is enabled. If that's the case, open /config/servers.php (Flux) and edit: 'UseMD5' => true, From there, it should work if that's all that's wrong. Secondly, it could be that you have a mismatch of capitalization settings (in other words usernames jTynne and jtynne are counting as two different accounts if case sensitivity is ENABLED. If case sensitivity is DISABLED, then those would count as the same account), "case sensitivity" which is edited in the same file as before, /config/servers.php: 'NoCase' => true, // eA account case-sensitivity; Default: Case-INsensitive (true). As well as server-side config file, /trunk/conf/login.conf: account.sql.case_sensitive: no If there's a mismatch between the two, that can also cause OP error, as well as open up a hoarde of exploits. So make sure they match!

    hi

Welcome to rAthena, darlin'! We're mostly just a bunch of people who got fed up with the administration over at eA.ws, and thus rA was born. You'll want to notify Jguy, Brian, or another of the administrators here of your request, or, post on the suggestions forum: http://rathena.org/board/forum/62-rathena-forum-suggestions/
  16. Very cute artwork! Thank you for sharing with us here! I really enjoy the Valkyrie Couple!
  17. First off, thank you for providing a free skin for Thor to the public! More people need to do the same to help the community overall. +10 points from me for that one, Daddy. I do have a few criticisms, however, and hope that they'll help to improve your design/designs in the future. 1. The header font is a tad hard to read. Possibly, change the font type to something more readable, or, use different colors/placement. 2. The buttons on the left and right sides feel like they were rushed when it came to applying text effects. Rather than using just an outer glow effect (kudos for not using the default cream yellow color), perhaps apply a stroke of 2-3 pixels, and use a different font. The buttons themselves I like, but the font and text effects are what ruin it for me. 3. The center "content" box, scrap the inner shadow. Go with a black fill, and simply lower the opacity on it so that it gives the appearance of being sunken in a bit, without compromising the overall aesthetic. This is a great start, but there are a few things that can be improved upon. For this, I will give a 6/10.
  18. Liking this; Cover everything Arcenciel pointed out and it'll be much better. I'd personally prefer to also see something going on to the right of the Soul Linker. Even if it's something to the effects of the bottom of the image, it'd give a more filled appearance. Then again, I do tend to enjoy excess.. Nice work!
  19. Everyone on staff has the ability to approve/deny updated files in the downloads module to the best of my knowledge. Anytime something needs approved, those of us with it enabled, get a notification whenever something new is uploaded. Since there are quite a few people on staff, I don't think there's a need for additional staff specifically for the downloads section, as there's really not all that much being uploaded right now. In the future, perhaps if there's 20+ things being uploaded/modified daily, but right now it's not that far along yet. Ultimately though, it boils down to one of the community managers giving their thoughts on the matter. I'm personally for the way it currently is. Sorry.
  20. The issue with this is that people could then possibly upload malicious content after their initial submission was approved. This is done, presumably, to protect users potentially downloading content that will damage their system, or be exploitable. As troublesome as it is, I feel it's in place to ensure file integrity as well as quality of service is not compromised. This is a firm "No" from me, should my vote count for anything.
  21. If you're using a Renewal Client, open data/lua files/datainfo/ and find npcidentity.lua and jobname.lua Make new entries for each following the examples below: npcidentity.lua ["JT_G_BANASPATY"] = 2157, ["JT_S_HORNET"] = 2158, ["JT_S_GIANT_HORNET"] = 2159, ["JT_S_LUCIOLA_VESPA"] = 2160, ["JT_I_HORN_SCARABA"] = 2161, Make the number on the right the mob ID # in your database. Add in a unique name on the left "JT_MY_MOB_NAME" and use it in.. jobname.lua [jobtbl.JT_G_BANASPATY] = "BANASPATY", [jobtbl.JT_4_M_ALCHE_E] = "4_M_ALCHE_E", [jobtbl.JT_S_HORNET] = "HORNET", [jobtbl.JT_S_GIANT_HORNET] = "GIANT_HORNET", [jobtbl.JT_S_LUCIOLA_VESPA] = "LUCIOLA_VESPA", [jobtbl.JT_I_HORN_SCARABA] = "I_HORN_SCARABA", On the right side is the name of the .spr file, left side is the same name used in the previous file. Trial and error a bit, and if you're still stumped, post back, or likely someone will write a more in-depth guide than my own.
  22. People must really have had tons of issues with Harmony on various servers to hate it so much. I've used it now on two of my servers and have never had a single problem or complaint regarding it. So, who knows. *shrugs*
