  3. rAthena Community Chat Connect Now - No download or registration required 'Discordapp' is more or less your standard gaming text/voice chat application; it has the works. The difference between it and Skype, is it's clean and responsive feel. Where Skype is sluggish, Discordapp is always buttery smooth. Discordapp can be accessed from your browser with no registration or download required. The service is free and allows 1,000 concurrent users on a single server, so running out of room should never be a problem. As it is set up now, there are three text channels, General, Filipino, and Support as well as two voice channels, English and Filipino. I know a lot of people feel bogged down by a plethora of chat services they are already expected to use, but I think if rAthena makes a commitment to come together on this platform, we could have an excellent service for helping each other out or simply hanging out! The goal is to have a constant stream of people available to help with questions, big or small. That being said... In an effort to keep the rAthena website relevant while still offering this chat service, we'd need to make sure that we post our questions under the relevant support forums, and as mentors, post our solutions there as well, thus allowing for future users to find answers easily. Everyone is encouraged to contribute in any way they can. Helping with large or small requests, it's all welcome. How do I get help? Please post your question in the appropriate sub-forum. Once you've posted, join the chat and link your thread in the 'support' chat. Chat may be slow at times but someone is sure to be with you quicker than (or at least as fast as the) forums. Rules/Tips In an effort to hold some standard of ethics and integrity in the chat, I think some rules should exist more officially.   5. I cannot for the life of me, get a custom mob to work. I've read the wiki page, so please don't direct me there. I'd appreciate it if someone would step up, add me on Skype, and take me through it step by step. I've followed the guide three times now and not been able to successfully get a mob to work.   9. The problem with hiding an NPC on a map is the shadow it leaves. In this case you will see like 15-20 shadows in a 10x10 cell area and it'll look really bizarre. I guess I'm struggling to understand why we have OnInstanceInit and OnInit if you can't toggle enable/disable on them as desired. Needless to say, in your experience, a different map is the only way to fix it? Regards, ~AzuraSkyy
  10. I've just stumbled across this and it really is lovely. I can't wait to play with it a bit. One thing I noticed straight away though is the lack of a shield 'style.' That just seems like a missed opportunity. If you are open to suggestions, I'd love to see an addition for shields as well.   11. Is it possible to instance NPCs on an existing map (Prontera for example) while having them entirely disabled on the non-instanced version? OnInit: disablenpc "Example#1"; end; OnInstanceInit: enablenpc instance_npcname("Example#1"); end; Using this sort of setup (even when trying to trigger the label directly with 'donpcevent,' I can't get the NPC to hide in the instance. I could easily fix the issue by making a 1@prontera (as all other instances do), but it just seems like a developing shortcoming of rAthena if it is unable to instance NPCs without assigning them to a different map. I should clarify that I've played through the Nydhoggur's Nest ad Sara's Memory instance and referenced both of those files while creating my own instance and they both rely on a map that is exclusively used for the instance.   13. As the title suggests, I get an error on server startup that I've reached the maximum number of entries in my instance db. I'm wondering if there is a way to increase the maximum number. I'd like to use a plethora of instances for quests. Thanks in advance, ~Azura Skyy
  14. Remove moc_para01 from indoorrswtable.txt (located in rdata.grf). After that it will have free camera movement like standard maps. You can also define the view in viewpointtable.txt then. EDIT: Just noticed that you figured it out. Lol Regards, ~Azura Skyy
  15. Update: Tested 100PD against Gungnir (25pHit) on a renewal server. Perfect Dodge dodges Perfect Hit. Looking at Gungnir now, it seems as though it was designed for Swordsman/High Swordsman. It is weldable at level 4 by Swordy branch and allows them to ignore the Dexterity stat with it's +30 Hit rate and 25 pHit. It's one-handed attribute, low weight, and lack of slots make it pretty much useless in renewal and even more so in pre-re where any level 1 weapon with 4 slots could outshine it. Perfect Hit > Flee Perfect Dodge > Perfect Hit/Critical/Hit Rate/Sacrifice Skill Thanks for the topic. Learned a bit. Regards, ~Azura Skyy Would you be willing to share your solution?   16. I'm unable to currently experiment with this, and unfortunately, my claims are coming from what I've read on a very old irowiki post by Doddler. In part of the Renewal changes he explains that Perfect Hit is a guaranteed hit % regardless of your hit and evasion rates (implying it takes into consideration the targets stats as well as your own). When you tested this, did you test on Pre-re or Re? Regards, ~Azura Skyy
  17. Perfect Hit is calculated above everything. 25 Perfect Hit / Guided Attack is literally a 25% chance of landing an attack regardless of all other factors. Regards, ~Azura Skyy
  18. The problem with that example is that you have to be wearing it, and it would give you perfect accuracy. I think Dissidia was looking for an src edit to do something a little different, so PD still counted for something. Regards, ~Azura Skyy

  21. NPC has been heavily updated. The NPC now has toggles to allow players or GMs to access the NPC based on the owner's decision. You may also toggle the requirements for levels, and items as well as XP rewards, allowing you to run the NPC like a normal quest, but without the run-around. Just acquire quest and turn in the items all at once in one location. Finally, there is a built in 'Edit Mode' that allows GMs of a desired level to access it and edit which toggles are enabled. TL:DR; User friendly feature updates that makes the NPC worth using! Regards, ~Azura Skyy

If you offer a better product, or one that has more features, there is no reason to say no, unless there is something else you would be developing in that time.   24. Open the map in BrowEdit and select Gat Edit. Then place red gats (not walkable) on the black areas. If they aren't walkable, nobody can get there and things can't spawn there. EDIT:As always, save the map in BroweEdit r586 to avoid black tile glitch. Regards, ~Azura Skyy
