  1. I am bust until late tonight. I will try to have it for you early tomorrow/late tonight. ~Azura Skyy Were you able to see it in BrowEdit as I was? If you were, you could open in, then save it (as I did). Anyways, here it is. Ragnarok World Champion 2012 Map ~Azura Skyy
  2. If you are still unable to find it, I can link it to you. ~Azura Skyy
  3. I tried to reply to his early via phone, but it appears it didn't go through. I watched the video and it was quite helpful. When I read this, I was under the impression that I'd need to be a Photoshop God. This is much simpler and I think I can handle it. Thanks you so much. ~AzuraSkyy
  4. Now, while looking over some maps other people have posted, I am noticing a large amount of objects that I can't find in the BrowEdit model inventory. Am I on an out of date version or is there some pack of models I should be downloading and adding? Thanks, ~Azura Skyy
  5. Is there a step by step guide on how to do this sort of thing? ~AzuraSkyy
  6. That's the only option? :X I'm afraid I'm not an artistic person. Haha. ~Azura Skyy
  7. Alright, I have my lighting to a beautifully warm hue, and my shadows are cast as long/short as I desire, but I still has some issues. In this first image, we see Payon in all its glory. The shadows match the object perfectly. The light shines through all the right parts, right? Now, my map. We can see that there are a few objects that have transparent bits. The fence and the grate on the metal should leave lit up area within the shadow, but they do not. Is this something on my end or just the object's properties? As always, thanks in advance, ~Azura Skyy
  8. Are these the coordinates? What sort of range do you set for it then? Thanks, ~Azura Skyy/Ian
  9. Alright. I'll adjust the shadow to 600ish. What about the Sun/light? What height would you set? Higher or lower than the shadow? Thanks, ~Azura Skyy/Ian
  10. About 200 right now, but that was just the last adjustment I did. Like I said, I've been toying around with them and haven't found anything that worked really well. Nice to talk to you on rAthena this time. Thanks, ~Azura Skyy/Ian
  11. I've had difficulties with Shadows. I've set my sun, and it has a higher intensity than my shadow, as instructed by the BrowEdit tutorial videos, but my shadows are too long. I've adjusted the sun and shadow higher and lower and tested it multiple times, but I can't get what I'm looking for. I want the map to have a late afternoon/evening feel (sun setting), which would of course, cast longer shadows, but I want to control it a little. I want the map to have a warm feeling to it; should I be adjusting the colors? How high/low in the sky should my sun/shadow be? Intensity 127 for the sun and 100 is what I currently have set, and that doesn't seem bad, but I'm open to opinions. My map is larger than Payon/Protnera and has some mountainous terrain on the borders. It is a city, so there are heaps of objects; lighting calculations take ~1 hour to finish, so testing it is quite tedious. Hope someone can help, Thanks, ~Azura Skyy
  12. It did not follow the cursor. Do you have a potential solution to that? If not, I will send you the files, as it would be greatly appreciated. ^^; EDIT: The search for the song has peaked my interest in the series. Besides that, the song was worth the time. Thanks again, ~Azy
  13. Yes; only textures and models. I did a global height edit as well... Not sure if that affects it. I was able to do everything except paste. You said 'Click to paste your copied map.' Based on that I assume you mean left click, and nothing happened. I'm positive the new map is bigger and I copied properly (90% sure). Thanks in advance, ~Azy EDIT: Also, your map, Crystilia, is beautiful. The download link does not work, but I would love a copy of it if you still have the file. I think it would make a lovely GM HQ. Because you didn't name the song, except that it was in the ending, I spent three hours on Monday trying to find it.
  14. So- I checked through my files last night and found that I have a save of the map I've been working on for ages (its my third iteration at my first map and I'm a perfectionist; I realize these two things go together like oil and water). Now, I may have screwed myself when I set my borders. I have terrain cutting off most of the maps edges, but the East side, possibly the most important for this map, only leaves about 4 walk-able cells past a fence cutoff. Because of building and terrain placements, it would be impossible to shift everything West slightly. Is there anyway to expand my map? Thank, ~Azy
  15. That sounds like a more in-depth analysis of what I do. If I don't place objects as I find them, I might forget. So I place them and reorganize later,
  16. Lesson 1 is save frequently. I also heard that smaller maps crash less, though, I'm not sure how accurate that statement is. ~Azy
  17. Not particularly. The server I'm working on embraces Norse mythology and expands on what Ragnarok already has. Using that, it is very easy to take a concept and mold it into something that works with the game. Besides that, I aspire to be an author, so I have backlog of ideas I could use. I hope you are able to sort out your creative problems. ^^: ~Azy
  18. So, I worked on a few maps some months back and got pretty far before deciding that I would restart them at a later date. That date is now. So, what is the first bit you do when you create a map? Do you cover the map with textures? I usually lay down textures, raise/lower terrain, add main buildings/walls, finer details, gat. Do you use a different order, if so, what? Thanks, ~Azy
  19. But ultimately, the border will only effect the North and East sides right? So don't only those sides need the border, or am I misunderstanding his video?
  20. So in all cases, would you agree that a magenta draw zone is best? Currently, I have no draw zone on my South and West borders (which I have fully textured and full of objects. The North/East regions of my map haven't been touched yet. So, can I simply add the draw zones to the North/East and remove any bad lighting on the edges? if it helps, the North ends with a mountainous region, climbing up from the base of a city, and the East is the edge of the city (wtih the South Eastern bit being the edge of a body of water (so that you can't even see the South Eastern edge)). Thanks for your reply, and any future replies, ~Azy
  21. While using BrowEdit, I've noticed that when opening most city maps from grf, they have a border of one or several empty textures before the actual models and textures are applied. What is the point of that? Do I need to leave a 1x area around my map blank for some reason? Are there any benefits or negative repercussions of not doing this? I just don't want to finish the edges of my map and find out that I have to remove a portion. Thanks in advance, ~Azy
