fr4gn4tic Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Low, Mid or High Rate? Hi rAthena Community, Can you please vote your favorite rate settings. Why? I want to find out what the best Rate settings are in the moment. If you want you can explain your vote Thanks, fr4gn4tic Quote
Bin4ry Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I personally like Mid Rate with full official behavior, max levels and so. I'm comparing to high rate. Doesn't have to bot to level. 150 doesn't break any skills, statuses (Stun, curses and so) or jobs. Enjoy casting MVP with difficulty compared to High Rate where champ always get 1-HIT KO almost any bosses. Limited skill points where balances player. Can't figure out what else in this moment Quote
Wolfeh Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) Mid rates are pretty nice but it also depends on the mid rate, don't like high rates or low rates, too easy and too hard (AKA grindfest like iRO). My most favorite midrate server I will never forget ;A; It was 140 but they adjusted little settings here and there like ASPD cap but in a way that it made things easier instead of harder, servers such as midrates tend to enjoy making things harder than easier, or like one I played took the challenge out of it COMPLETELY so it was incredibly boring, but back to my favorite, they even had custom cards that made things easier as well but at the same time it wasn't incredibly unbalanced, I'm sure some things people would consider unbalanced but honestly it wasn't. I only remember one custom quest in the game which was well planned, put together, and thought out. Custom items were sparse, usually hard to obtain and the owner was strict on anything custom, it had to be related to Norse Mythology in some way but made a few exceptions. The majority of the custom items came from donations but you also got more than just the custom item... Have never found another server like it which is a real shame, it dissolved when the owner decided to upgrade and nerfed the server, or I had a friend tell me it just took them forever to implement the changes but it seems like I remember playing after the changes were made and was not impressed, so who knows... Basically custom cards were taken away and things like ASPD were nerfed and such... Edited October 7, 2012 by Wolfeh Quote
David Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 PK High Rates are the most fun imo =p Yeah I personally like High Rates, all you need to do is balancing the server more so everything wont be so easy Goodluck ! Quote
Jazz Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Mid rates servers imho. not too hard , and not too easy. Quote
Ziu Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Low low low rate..... = kRO Servers x0.5 + penalty drop/exp... Edited November 7, 2012 by Ziu Quote
Jhedzkie Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Mid-High rate with lots of quests. Adjusted Level cap with moderate difficulty gaining levels, while at it, gets to hunt for stuff to get quest completed. when reached max levels, pvp/gvg/woe. Quote
Rayhan Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Mid rates all the way, not to hard, not to easy. Perfect gameplay Quote
RenLen Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 mid-rate for life. Like what rayhan said, perfect gameplay. I'd still choose an oldschool way of ragnarok with a lil bit of spice Quote
Antares Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I prefer low rates, with floating rates (1/1/1 with daily completable server rate quest up to 2/2/2). This way the character still has value and the game is interesting, but when you need to level, you can complete the rate quest, use battle manual, exp buffs, and with that you can level faster and it won't get boring Why I don't like Mid rates is because usually I max out a character in a week or so and after that it gets boring for me (Not the goal, but the journey is that makes it interesting ) I tried highrates as well, but other than woe servers, it's not fun to me at all. Especially with high stats and custom stuffs. It's just pointless to me. Quote
Stolao Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Low rates and midhigh rates 1/1/1-3/3/3 is great, And pvp servers 750-1k with a Max level in same range But my all time favorite was a 1/1/1 with Max level of 750/525 me and my bro played, OMG so hard after level 150 to level (was pre re btw) Edited July 13, 2013 by Stolao 1 Quote
kiros Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 i think mid rates is the best, a place where people can level fine but not to hard like a low rate where you need to speed countless hoursbut not so fast that in in 1 hour hour you are ready to rape all mvps, also a mid rate is easy to balance in my opinion. Mid rates servers are good in - building a comunity - place where people can have fun leveling but dont take ages to max it - commonly there is a mixture of people how want to learn the mechanics and people how already know it this tend to make people talk and make friends Quote
Shade Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Mid-High if the server only depend on grinding. Mid-Low if the server have a better leveling experience and quests. Quote
Checkmate Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Mid rate since mid rate was not to powerfull and not too noob.. ^ ^Btw... Enjoy casting and no need to put lot of new thing that can make some serve imba.. ^ ^ Quote
Doch Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) I love rates 3x 3x 3x Edited May 5, 2014 by Doch Quote
Cydh Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I love High Rate server, because patience isn't a close friend. Quote
SuperDenzon Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I go for Mid-rate server, my friends told me Mid-rate is the best. Quote
nicoscene Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I prefer low~mid rate. Because i have a very bad experience with Hiigh~SHR (Most of the players are r*ta*ded). Not trying to offend anyone but this is based on my point of view. 1 Quote
