Jonne Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Is http://eAthena.ws down or is it just me? Just curious and thus want to check. Quote
Kenpachi Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Seems to be down. Probably Paradox is fixing some issues now... it was online in the morning. Quote
Gepard Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Next time just use http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/eathena.ws 2 Quote
Maki Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 The topic for #Athena is: Official eAthena IRC Channel [site: www.eathena.ws ] [sVN: ? svn] [Commands: ? commands | ? rules | ? rtfm | ? files] [Forums: Changing Hosts] [ http://eathena.ws/board/index.php?showtopic=281962 ] Have a question? Type "? question" Looks like they're moving hosts, if they ever decide to come back up =p 1 Quote
Flaid Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) Maybe they will not come back. o_o Wouldn't surprise me after Paradox just disappeared D: Edited January 6, 2012 by Flaid Quote
Olrox Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) Or Maybe Paradox just dropped the ball ... and that would not surprise me. Edited January 6, 2012 by Olrox Quote
Mystery Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 @Jguy, after you've resigned from Admin position over eAthena, it seemed to have gown down the drain. Why did you resign (I forgot)? And let Paradox run eAthena rather than.. Ind, Brian, etc. ? Quote
Mystery Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Ah.. so Delta was main 'founder' of eAthena? Did he have something against you to not allow privilege given to you? Quote
Mercurial Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Why does anyone even care about eathena.ws ? , we have awesome dev team here :/ , and Ind is working his ass off. :/, we need more people like him :/ As of now, hes about to finish all of the 3-2 Jobs, and also Muad_Dib the great leaker has join our forces, And we have the great fork starters , like Protimus and other guys , And some other great contributors like (KeyWorld -> roBrowser , Aeomin -> Thor Patcher, Tiera -> kPatcher, Gepard -> SVN PRO, Masao -> has been updating our scripts to ep 13.2 ) Not to mention our awesome managers (Jguy ,Maki , BrianL) I mean its the best time for this EMU community, Why still linger in teh past ? Nabs Respect Nigga Mercurial 1 Quote
Mercurial Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Yes I know hes a great guy , and skilled and all , imma let you finish... but like wtf is he up to not joining here yet ? , Whats the purpose?, So we still hold eA for him? I mean I'd rather love Ind for adding great updates to move us forward and finally catch up to RO Episodes, compared to 100 commits full of 1 line optimization, I mean this is good, don't get me wrong , but would you choose this <- to run a server? NO I'd choose rA <3 Thanks Quote
Ghost Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 rA dev team is awesome. Mercurial is right, why dwell in the past when you can move on to the future. It's time to stop looking back, and start moving forward. 1 Quote
Judas Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 yeah i already know =) just wondering why a4rei hasn't step in to the rA dev team 1 Quote
Daredevil Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 i'm agree with judas ai4rei is a good developer look her(?her or his??) updates in eAthena svn http://code.google.com/p/eathena-project/source/detail?r=15058 Quote
Mystery Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Yes, although rAthena has every single thing you just mentioned, there is a lot of information on eAthena and useful Database updates, scripts, source edits, etc. that are still lingering there (and guides) that people go back on. rAthena may have some of these things, but not all of it like eAthena did. Tiera Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Mercurial, thanks of course, but could you fix my name in post #13. Well of course in general is really nice. I will continue to develop their projects on this forum. Quote

Who knows, who knows. Quote
Protimus Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I find all this is very ridiculous. The fact of how people do not have the maturity to work together and want to harm the others, makes me very mad. It would be so simple to paradox give the host access, but no... Thinking on the one hand, this is not even 1/3 of the fights and attacks that occur against brAthena. You'd be surprised if know >_> Well, there is a community much better now. The members should think about the future and forget the past. Quote

A few people don't understand that, but its good to see that majority of us have the understanding and we have a good community now Quote
Deacon. Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Ah, I wouldn't worry about it. At the end of the day you have a lot more manpower and devotion to the open source ideal. rAthena should overshadow eAthena in no time. Quote
Flaid Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 rAthena is better than eAthena aleady but eAthena had many useful information we don't have here yet. Give it time and we will have everything that's useful here. eAthena is the past rAthena is the future. Quote
