This is done, presumably, to protect users potentially downloading content that will damage their system, or be exploitable. As troublesome as it is, I feel it's in place to ensure file integrity as well as quality of service is not compromised. This is a firm "No" from me, should my vote count for anything.

LOL LCD xD i will still go to Moderation Queue System ( Approval System ) IPB has a Virus Scanner hook but i dont think its effective too Cause as i know when a File is Zip or Rar ( Compressed ) sometimes Virus scan doesn't check its inside so means = Rar/Zip = No Virus but inside Rar/Zip = Virus = Virus Scan Didn't Recognized

There's always the question of "if this happens..." So, it is better to be safe than sorry (to avoid getting yelled by the community)!

Anytime something needs approved, those of us with it enabled, get a notification whenever something new is uploaded. Since there are quite a few people on staff, I don't think there's a need for additional staff specifically for the downloads section, as there's really not all that much being uploaded right now. In the future, perhaps if there's 20+ things being uploaded/modified daily, but right now it's not that far along yet. Ultimately though, it boils down to one of the community managers giving their thoughts on the matter. I'm personally for the way it currently is. Sorry.
