Peopleperson49 Posted April 24, 2012 Share Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) I have noticed that dispbottom text does not show up in the text boxes when using this client. I understand that there are options to enable/disable it showing up and I have tried everything I know including going through the LUA options outside of the game. Maybe somebody else is having this issue. Also have you released an updated client download package with all the current fixes such as the missing files and the warlock fix? After extracting both the data and rdata grf's I copied all the card pics from each folder to cardbmp folder in my data files and the error is fixed. Is the client reading from the wrong location since there is two cardbmp folders in the data and rdata folders? One is just in data/texture/cardbmp (which is empty) and the other is in data/texture/À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀ̽º/cardbmp (has all the card pics). The problem is easily fixed by adding the cards to my data files under data/texture/À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀ̽º/cardbmp, however, they are already in the data/rdata grf's so I shouldn't need to do that, therefore is a problem somewhere. Peopleperson49 Posted May 11, 2012 Share Posted May 11, 2012 I'm using the rAthena client and I have a couple questions that others might even be interested in having answered. When I hex the data.ini to RoUG.ini there is not problem. However, when I try to hex clientinfo.xml to RoUGv2info.xml I get one of two errors. Rejected from server (30) or Failed to auticentate (5011). There is actually two locations in the client that has the clientinfo in it. One is the .xml and the other isn't. I have tried editing one of them and both of them with different results. As a side note I did change file name from clientinfo to the RoUGv2info. I even tried opening the xml file and changing the clientinfo inside of it to RoUGv2info. It is critical that I am able to use a custom xml, so I hope somebody can help me. I got it to work with another client which is why I figured I would post it here. Might be a bug. Peopleperson49 P.S. There is no regular chat box, can't see dispbottom messages, and nomatter what I do I can't activate it. I have tried several different set of LUA files and I even used the ones recremended for it. Does anybody know how to solve this issue? I have tried to play with settings in the LUA save files, go through the battlemode settings, and much more. If I don't get it fixed the few new players that I have since I went public are going to get annoyed and quit evenutally. I hope somebody knows the solution soon. They can hit enter and it works when talking to NPC's and such but not for the chat box. Peopleperson49 Posted May 13, 2012 Share Posted May 13, 2012 Im using the rathena client downloaded from here. It's not as simple as making a new tab. By default there should be a Regular Chat tab. Plus you can use Alt+Y to bring up the menu to enable seeing message. The short cut i think is /nomeschat2 or something similar doesnt work since the enter key dont work. It's about the /nomeschat2 and /nomeschat thing indeed. It seems that in my client (2011-04-05aRagexeRE), it uses the following command instead. /nm or /notalksmg /nm2 or /notalkmsg2 I found it in the ALT + Y window as you suggested. Also, the dispbottom error is fixed as well. Hi AnnaChavez28, This error comes from your client being run on a non-administrative setting. You can fix this by right clicking your EXE file and clicking Run as Administrator. To save that as a permanent preference, right click the EXE, go to Properties, Compatibility tab, And go to Privilege level, set it to Run as administrator. Unfortunately for us, this has a problem with window's UAC (User Account Control i think), because it keeps asking for confirmation if we want to run the said application. If anybody has a fix for this (that would be extremely simple without any use of external programs, please do share. You know how tech-scared players are, especially when they're children.
