  1. 1 & 2 - Seek out Olrox's tutorials or ask him about it (He's the expert in that sort of stuff) 3 - Can't animate lights. They are static and cannot change once set.

  4. Wow nice Olrox! The map looks great. I love it it how you're applying your knowledge of model animations to mapping projects.
  5. 1. Check your light maps. Follow the lighting tutorial. 2. Apply proper GATS to the map. Follow the gat tutorial.
  6. Wow. I love the animated models you made the cycled through different textures. This can be very useful for advertising purposes within a map. I like the lighting effect you setup as well bringing the focus on the center of the arena. Overall, fantastic job as always Olrox. It's been awhile since someone posted a map showcase.. I'm glad you broke the silence!

Do the same for 1873 so instead of BEELZEBUB, it says "BEELZEBUB_".

  9. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't worry about it. Just use the current BrowEdit builds (r568, r620). The new BrowEdit will look a lot better =)
  10. Flip Wall Vertically: Case 1: Click "V" Case 2: Click "ALT + V" Flip Wall Horizontally Case 1: Click "H" Case 2: Click "ALT + H" Each case depends on the direction of the wall -> N, S, E , W

  12. For effects, I hit the enter key after changing any value before clicking OK. That seems to save any parameters.

  17. Check viewpointable.txt in your data/ and see if the map name has an entry inside the file. If it does, remove it.
  18. If you can't zoom, thats limited by: 1. Client parameters 2. viewpointtable.txt (Limits camera rotation & zoom)
  19. Ya. Don't use the new map functions in maps. Stay away from it. Always use a Gravity map as your base template.
  20. Are you saying you used the "New Map" function for this map?
  21. If you closed BrowEdit too early while it's saving, it can produce a corrupted map file. This is a possibility when you closed the editor. Another case is if any custom textures or models weren't loaded (missing pathway to textures or models). Try opening the map in another revision of BrowEdit to see if it works. Two versions you can try include r586 and r620.
  22. Yes the borders of North & East directions will only be affected. There is another element I should have tested and that's changing the longitude & latitude angle for global lighting settings & how that has an effect on shadows produced.
  23. IMO, I've just stuck with magenta in all of my current map projects. It provides proper shadows for both colored & non-colored lightmaps & doesnt create a fade-out effect. Yes, you can use no-draw zones and just remove bad lighting at the edges. However, a fast approach is to just use magenta (1x1) border. The choice is really yours tho when it comes down to how you wish to present your map.
