1. BrowEdit 1.0 is very buggy as it is. As long as your video card supports OpenGL 3.3 i believe you should be fine for BrowEdit 2.0.
2. Its definitely the models. Zmref, I tested your map upon clearing the models and the map didn't crash anymore. Therefore I recommend testing your map with complex models to see which one causes the crash. Upon finding hte model that causes this, avoid using it in your map and future maps.
3. Watch my tutorial on making a sky map ( see my signature for link to youtube video list ). The video will explain what HEX software to use and how to hex a client in order to add a sky map.
4. Mind if you send the map to me via a PM? I'll take a look at it and see if I can find a solution to the issue you're having.
5. Everything is coded in Java. Borf is mainly looking for those who know Java.
6. BrowEdit Tutorials #17 and #18 released!

7. BrowEdit Tutorial #18 stream link added! Note: Please give youtube some time to setup the video.
8. Here is a video version of adding a custom map:
9. BrowEdit Tutorial #17 stream link added! Note: Please give youtube some time to setup the video.
10. Uhm isn't a .DDS a texture file? You want to convert a DDS to BMP. Its not a model file. League of Legends uses .DDS files to carry their character skin textures and what not. You can try this online converter to conver the DDS file to BMP (http://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-bmp)
11. Its not so much size, its the polygon limit. For every model keep the polygon max limit up to 1500 roughly. BrowEdit can render high polygon models but the RO client cant. 1500 polygons per model is the safe zone. Somewhere in 2000's will crash the client instantly once you're client begins rendering the model in sight.
12. I'm not sure if you've checked my tutorial thread recently but I've been planning 3 new videos just focused on 3ds. They are still in development and will be released soon.
13. Preparing BrowEdit Tutorials 17, 18, and 19

-High Fives- I'm in the GTA, Ontario =D.

Weather seems better here than in Taiwan haha~

15. You would use BrowEdit's built in 3ds -> RSM converter. BrowEdit also allows you to apply w/e textures required to the model.
16. Take a look at this to get a slope at the edge:
17. Thanks to Olrox (a very well known and fantastic mapper) teaching me how to use 3ds Max, I will be creating video tutorials on using this piece of software specifically focused on getting and editing models so they are compatible with RO. It is your responsibility to get 3ds Max by whatever means necessary. Autodesk does provide a free trial to the software. I will not be explaining every part of 3ds Max. You can research on youtube how to use 3ds Max for other things. I will only be focusing on basic model work.
18. There's free software that provides security to the game (preventing exploits) called ROCShield. I believe the current version is 2.3. I cannot comment on its stability and how well it works as I have never used it before.I attached the program to this reply. ROCShield_v2.3.7z
19. There is not ETA at the moment. It's hard to predict when it will be complete. The design system is changing however I wouldn't make that a reason to not use BrowEdit. It is your choice in the end.
20. Map cache only stores GATS of maps (.GAT). You cannot recover the .RSW or .GND with just the map_cache.dat. Also note there is no program out there (at least that I know of) that has the ability to extract the .GAT file from map_cache.dat to a location.
21. When you added the sprites to your client side did you make sure you provided both male and female sprites?
