  1. I use 586 for the final save for every map, also even though you're just editing normal grf maps you may still have to edit the water height. You may not as well, it just depends, but you do need to save with 586 as the final revision its not more stable at all, it's actually slower than 620 and crashes a lot when editing walls, its just use as the final saving tool before you use it officially in game.
  2. Remember to get 586 for your final save of your map, if you don't you'll likely have errors ingame as well as large black boxes when you walk. Also, I don't know if Syouji ever said it in a tut but make sure you always open a map FROM the RO Grf, don't go to start a 'New' map. Always clear out an already used map in the grf, also make sure your water height is at -50 or else you are prone to issues with the black boxes when you're walking regardless of what revision you save in. Happy Mapping.
  3. Most people honestly use BrowEdit. I have yet to have it be 'buggy' for me. You wont find a bug free map editor that I know of. I suggest using 2 versions, if you decide to, which is 620 and 586. I also HIGHLY suggest looking at Syouji's BE Tutorials, they're one of the most informative out there and is what I went by when I first started mapping. https://rathena.org/board/topic/53466-guide-syoujis-browedit-tutorial-videos/ Goodluck.
  4. T_T. do both of you knows his skype? i really like his alterr map. T_T i really want to buy it i hope he reply on my email. I dont know his Skype since Davven hasnt been around for a while as far as I know. I talked to him years and years ago but havent heard from him since to be honest with you. =/ You could always contact someone to make a map similar if you cannot contact Davven.
  5. That's actually one of Davven's maps from a long time ago. It was a paid map if I am not mistaken and Davven has been far from gone for a really long time. =/
  6. They did not even copy the whole image, tbh. Plus if you google you'd probably find that image regardless, that's like bashing other servers for using the same Chibi images over and over and over and over and over. Personally I like this background more than how Streamside used it.
  7. While you're in gat edit hit the + button so its a bigger square.
  8. What you can do is the following Open the map you want to increase the size of now open a larger map that you want to transfer it to tab back to the map that you want to transfer over, hit f2, ctrl a, ctrl c tab over to the new map and click to place it in the middle of the new map.

  10. Please do a final save with BrowEdit version 586, if you final save with 620 this error occurs.
  11. Please note you dont HAVE to use Gonyrun. You can use any sky map.
  12. If you are ever confused about an effect number in an official map, usually you can open it in brow edit and go to edit mode > effects edit and select the bulb for the effect, click enter and a box will pop up and tell you the effect and the number. In this case it's effect number 358.
  13. Ive never seen this yellow screen thing before. But if you are copying from another map you could always try setting the water height to -50, youll have to raise your ground and objects, but thats pretty easy and doesnt take much time. Make sure you save in 586 for the last bit, if its not that then I'm not sure whats causing it for you tbh.
  14. Thanks so much! It means a lot, sorry never got back to this topic lol. I really didnt think the two tones would even look decent. But I like it paired with the grass Glad you like it! Thanks I love the Bras models. Thankies Thanks *0* Also a bump because I added the vending map along with this map
  15. Thanks a lot for your advices. ^^I am sure it will need so much practicing, 'cause it is not look such great ^0^ sunoharaB01.pngsunoharaB02.pngsunoharaB03.pngsunoharaB04.png If you want you can always smooth your lightmaps. Generate > Smooth Lightmaps I do this about 1 or 2 times depending on how dark and 'rigid' my shadows look. For me it just looks nice for the shadows to be smoother looking. =]
  16. I like that everything matches. It has a 'feel' to it, you didnt just place random models all over the map. That's a + in my book. It doesn't look like you have any lights though, but don't worry lights were the last thing I learned in BE as they can be tedious. Keep up the work. I like the little fenced in area for the Peco, thats pretty cute.
  17. I know your problem. Check your resolution settings in your ro.xml or wahtever your browedit is reading from. Tell is what that is. Make sure its a COMMON resolution.
  18. Arana I am so glad you started posting your works on rAThena! I told you everyone would love your work, I am so grateful to have seen you grown in your spriting from us working on Noble up until now. Glad to say I have a great friend and an awesome spriter. PS Thanks for that backpack
  19. He has not been active for some time. But I do hope you get in contact with him and are able to use the map!

  21. I can tell you that I did not make a map using Yggdrasil's models. I will see if I can find something out for you, I do vaguely remember a map similar to what you are explaining though.
  22. Firstly I want to say. Welcome to mapping! I hope you enjoy mapping as much as the next person. Secondly I want to point you in this direction as far as your mapping adventure begins http://rathena.org/board/topic/53466-guide-syoujis-browedit-tutorial-videos/ These tutorials have helped many of us, I am sure. It will teach you everything you need to know, well in a sense. If you have any further questions feel free to ask. Good luck!
  23. Or try to find the person who created the map and if its a paid map buy it. I really hate seeing people say stuff like 'extract it from the grf' That might have been paid work. :|
