I can't really connect at all. I want to try and make this go online and i used a guide for it too, but no luck.

// Option to force a player to create an e-mail.
// If a player have default e-mail, and if you activate this option, the player can only connect in the game (to arrive on a map) like follow:
// - Create at least 1 character
// - Select 1 character
// - Select DEL to enter his/her e-mail. (if OK is choosen, client says to the player: 'invalid e-mail')
// - If his/her e-mail is correct, the player enter in the game (an e-mail is saved definitively).

Did you forward your firewall ports? or router ports? to allow incoming connections on those LAN IP's on 6900, 5121, 6121 ?

Have you tried changing this in the clientinfo.xml:

<address>excaliburro.serveftp.com</address>

To the same IP that is in your conf files?

<address>192.168.1.67</address>

Yeah i was going to try port fowarding after i got this part, but I never got through it.

Alright Let me try to change the address to my lan ip.~

Edit: Do i have to port foward before changing it? because it still causes the same problem. it ends up saying "Failed to connect to server"; compared to the one with the <address> as 127.0.0.1 </address>

Try to forward the ports, but if you are using eAthena in your localhost just change all your IP´s (in eAthena and in the clientinfo.xml) to 127.0.0.1 and forward your firewall ports.

Since you behind a router, and your current IP Address is 192.168.1.X chances are you are, your router IP address is 192.168.1.1

you will need the administrator account and password to access it... From there, you will need to forward ports 5121, 6900, and 6121 from ANY to 192.168.1.67 (assuming your server is on a static LAN Assignment and not using DHCP)

by localhost (we mean...)

Suppose you installed eAthena on your desktop, and you are currently running the client on the SAME desktop... This means, that you can actually use the loop back address of 127.0.0.1 to not go out to the router, but to stay on your local machine...

Alright i port forwarded, what should i do now. Before i port forwarded I set all my ips in the .conf files to 127.0.0.1 as well as the clientinfo.xml. What should i do now? Do i set up my LAN ip and my No-ip in the .conf files and run it?

clientinfo.xml is for the newer clients.. regardless if you use 3CeAM or not. sclientinfo.xml was for the older xray clients.

I advise you better stick to clientinfo.xml

Sigh Even after port forwarding, everything works but then when i put my subnet as

subnet: 255.255.255.0:192.168.1.67:192.168.1.67
subnet: 255.255.255.0:excaliburro.serveftp.com:excaliburro.serveftp.com

it still doesnt work. and says "Failed to connect to server"

here's the thing

instead of using Lan IP

with char_ip: / map_ip: / login_ip:

why not use WAN IP or just localhost ( 127.0.0.1 )

to know your WAN IP try to use this

about subnet_athena.conf

if you will use WAN_IP: you have to port forward the 3 ports ( Default )

6900,5121,6121 = Default

subnet: 255.255.255.0:Wan_IP:Wan_IP

I have already port forwarded the 3 ports. I want to get this online so for

Char_athena.conf

login_ip: LAN ip
char_ip: WAN ip

login_athena.conf

(Theres nothing to edit on it actually, theres no login_ip there)

map_athena.conf

char_ip: LAN ip
map_ip: WAN ip

Look at your NO-IP's IP . Check if its the same as your WAN IP.. Sometimes it changes .

here's the thing

you can even just use WAN IP

instead of No-IP ( but its not a problem if you use No-IP )

if you will use No-IP of course you must always update the ip of your DNS

since your hosting it on PH. Lots of people uses ISP with Dynamic IP

so you must always update it

login_ip: your-ro.no-ip.org
char_ip: your-ro.no-ip.org
map_ip: your-ro.no-ip.org

<address>your-ro.no-ip.org</address>

subnet: 255.255.255.0:your-ro.no-ip.org:your-ro.no-ip.org

yea if your wan ip changes you may want to check to see if you can update it everytime it changes or consider using a static ip? i believe
