Well make a section thread that people can post there well written guides, or video guides for the handicaps like myself.

I've been making video guides as a new hobby, and I still have some in the works. There seems to be a limit of places people are active that need to see them.

Just a thought don't lock it like our old guide section lol... or could you allow me to get a noober account to post there.

There isn't as many posts on guides as I thought (compared to the huge number of members on the other board), but I agree it is still nice to have a guide section going. Especially when we can set tags up for each thread (makes searching easier). I'm up for this suggestion!

I still think Tutorials 1.3.1 for IP.Board 3.2 would work best for Guides but I know they are not going to do it because we use Wiki. Maybe they could hire someone to monitor the guides (if there was a Guides forum)?

Thanks for the suggestions =]

Yes, we are currently using the Wiki for all documentation and guides-related info because we feel this is the easiest way for everyone to collaboratively edit and update!

Yeah that seems where I spend 90% of my time. There are people like my self with learning disabilities that love videos xD

To bad there isn't something on eA scripting haha, still looking for a thick book (:

I could volunteer to be that patsy, I have a good sense of judgment.

eA scripting for dummies someone should do that. Anyway video guides seem to be much better now a days for people to comprehend it easily.

Perhaps videos can be added to the Wiki site! Maybe get some Wiki contributors who are willing to write out more guides compared to the original (some details are still missing) so that we get less threads about people needing help (get the very commonly asked questions about editing certain things posted?) =D. Maybe.

Nearly impossible without a full documented source code.

I've planed to do something like that, but its better with an doxygen generated document or something like this.

Without an source documentation its to time intensively to write all things by my self.

Give this project 1 or 2 months and i've cleaned up most of the comments in the source so we are able to run an doxygen over it.

After this has been done, I will write an stacktrace for every process.

Yea TecnoCronus started it @ 2009 if I'm right.

I think this is what you mean, isent it?

But as you may see, this is not that much and it's many work to write this.

Now assume how long it would take to write a full documentation.. this is the reason why i said, we need a nice in-code documentation to generate something like this per default.

They are full of ads :o

I like our MediaWiki installation which we have more control to customize.

Also, this allows us to use IPBWiki so your forum login = your wiki login.

Oh so it's not like Wiki where you can install it on your server? I didn't know IPBWiki was still being developed and updated.

Nope, its hosted on wikia.com: see here.

Wikia looks somewhat nice, but IMO its just an overpowered MediaWiki with some plugins. Nothing we couldnt do or have within our installation :o
