I'll grab that one. So it's caused by models under the floor, or something? (My water level was already -20.) Oh, lovely. I've been hunting through non-translated model packs, while there's been an english translation this whole time. Le-sigh. -Edit, maybe this was the issue? I have not the slightest idea how they got down there, but I did notice them missing from the field. Edited June 1, 2012 by Tyrant64

Is that a common occurrence when saving a map?

You will need to reset their heights.

This is what CAUSED me to have to fix the issue, see what I mean? I did not put those sprites under the map, nor did I lower my lights or effects, or raise the map. I'm asking if that happens very often

Overall, doesn't happen very often, rarely only.

I love your tutorials thus far from what I had seen (not really that far), but they are very helpful, you have no idea! However, I do an issue! On the video: BrowEdit Tutortial #3 PART 1: Intermediate Level Terrain Editing, none of the links that you posted are working, so I can't really do what you are doing in the videos! Could you please re-upload them!? Thank you so much, From a future BrowEdit pro! Edit: I am also having the same problem with Tutorial #5, Tutorial #6, Tutorial #7, and finally Tutorial #8! I don't believe I have the templates however I'll look to see if I still have them. Thanks for letting me know and I appreciate your feedback. =)

All browedit tutorials I stored were deleted once they were moved to Youtube. The maps were also deleted once I had it uploaded to mediafire. I didn't anticipate MF to expire the links so soon. I have tried getting BrowEdit to work years ago and never got so far as being able to run it, much less view maps in it. I'll post a screenshot later. Pic Okay, so I still haven't gotten the hang of shadows (and it doesn't help that I totally forgot to smooth them before taking this screenshot), but I'm just surprised that I got it to work at all right now. Eventually, I'll have two more castle-themed maps to replace the novice training ground fields. By the way, I'm able to get to maps like new_1-1, new_2-1, and so on in the game as well as new_zone01, new_zone02... but only the new_zone maps are available when I do "Open from GRF." I wonder how on earth that's possible. Edited July 7, 2012 by Ticklish

I clicked on the "RO" folder and it disappeared from model select and restarting Browedit didn't fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this? --- Syouji, do you have intentions to do a text-based tutorial? It's really hard to navigate a series of videos for a specific piece of info. Not to mention if you ever wanted to add something, it's a lot harder to go back and put the new information in a video. I'm sure it would automatically become popular if you did make one. The issue you're having pops up when you switch between windows in BrowEdit. If you do that it gets all buggy and things dont become responsive. So don't ALT + TAB or switch between different opened programs. If you have BrowEdit opened, only work on that.

You can research on youtube how to use 3ds Max for other things. I will only be focusing on basic model work.
