Disable Dual Client

Question

Posted

Hello!

Is there a way to disable Dual Clienting for normal accounts, but allow GM's to dual client?

Ex: 2 Normal accounts =No

1 Normal Account & 1 GM Account= yes

I want to make sure that our GM's can be able to play their game but still keep an eye on their GM duties as well, without everyone having access to their other character information.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

One quick way I can think of without any script, to diff an extra client just for GM's which allows dual and giving normal players an client where it is disabled.

Regards,

Chris

Wonderful, so if I edit this, do I just need to turn the "client_hash_check: off" to on? And then add client_hash: 99, disabled?

Exactly.

You need to follow the rest of the instructions..

1. Diff a client for your players and disable dual clienting.

2. Add the CRC hash to conf/login_athena.conf

3. Diff a client for your GMs enabling dual clienting.

4. Add the CRC hash to conf/login_athena.conf.

You will see instructions in login_athena.conf to help you with this too. Following all instructions given will help you with this. If you still fail, re-read.
