have you checked that none of your BG files corupted inside grf? try to exstract it from your GRF and see each files condition i guess your BG got corrupted (like 0/zero byte size)

you should ask your players about it i think, which is best, pre-renewal server with pre-renewal client (oldest i think 2010-07-30aRagexeRE or pre-renewal server with latest client that support many new things (latest 2013-08-07aRagexe)? if it about nostalgia, then choose some older clients before renewal. hope its help.

for skill tree prob, you need to update your LUA LUB inside folder skillinfoz i believe. got no prob so far after i update it. for option lua, you can set it to "read only" so it will not changed when you close your client, dunno what setup.exe that work for this prob.

/loginout = 1 in your OptionInfo.LUA or ingame setting turn it on.

hello, did you download VS express edition or just VS c++? if you're not sure, you can check those header file in directory (ex: win XP) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio X.0\VC\include does those header file exist? if not then you need to download VS express edition as the header file needed has been included in installer. i recomended VS express 2008 as the size smaller than 2010, only if you dont want to waste time and bandwith i dont know where to download "header only" file for VS. hope this help.

there are no svn that fully support for old episode. you might want to disable some feature in rathena for episode upto 9.x : - disable renewal in renewal.h - Airship. - Einbroch city, einbech city , dungeon and field - Lighthalzen city , dungeon and field - Rachel city, dungeon and field - Veins city ,dungeon and field - Enabling Old Morroc city - Disable New World access (all city , all field, all dungeon) - No expanded regional city (dewata,brasilis,malaya,malangdo) - Bodyguard - expanded classess (taekwon, ninja, gunslinger) dunno what else should be disabled.
