Try typing "/lightmap" in-game. Also the "Setup.exe" can disable effects.

Is it a packed GRF? Make sure your "DATA.INI" is reading it. Also it would help if I knew the error, or see it.

Have you download Mikuru or kRO? You need matching data/lua files for your client version as well.

GAME RULES You can't post more than one word at a time. Must be in English. NO WORD DUPLICATING! Read the thread for matching words. Forbidden to use Singular, or Plural words. No, not all of that stuff, but you can change the title name from there. Gotta learn hexing for the rest... Shin made it easy for non-hexers.

Oh, server name is in the diffing. "Custom Title Name" I think... Also can be changed in hex. No, unfortunately only works for your PC. I've seen ways to do it, but I'm still learning that part.

I just use the setup.exe, I've used the patched one too, both works... The setup.exe with HKLM_to_HKCU needs the hex diff with your client.

Control Panel > Search "UAC" > Change User Account Control settings > Slide the bar down, restart.
