    Edit: config.borf.json with your current RO directories. Input with your keyboard your config name once you open browedit.exe and asks for it. Your graphic card must support OpenGL 2.0+~ to run this software.
     
    Whats new:

    • Major Update: Mirror or Simmetry at object edit mode: allows to mirror complete maps at the RSW file. Useful for simmetry maps. Experimental for now. (press M to simmetry)
    • Major Update: Bug reporting: Extension, once you have a crash, a crashlog can be send to borf by mail.
    • Major Update: Height edit mode: Initial work at this mode. Left click to select an amount of tiles, right click and drag to add height or decrease it. Look for the radial menu (spacebar) to find the "height edit tools option" and disable the smoothness at heights.
    • General bugs fixed and clean ups. :P

    Introduction:
    We all know how great and useful is browedit these days, that it has become the unique choice at Ragnarok Mapping. We will always be thankful to @Borf, who has created this tool years ago, and now, since the past year, he has been working with a new version of it.
     
    This project replaces the old one %5Blink%5D that was the previous and Old Java version of Browedit 2.0 *which is no longer used*. This thread will have regular updates about the project. Any kind of feedbacks and suggestions are always welcome.

    Features already working:

    • Faster and more efficient, even at complex camera distances.
    • Real-Time Rendering of Changes Made
    • Multi Core support (before, past browedits were only for 1 core)
    • RSM Animation
    • Texture Edit mode *partially*
    • Texture window list (which is optimized and loads fast)
    • Object Edit Mode *partially* (which now, replaces object group edit mode of past brows)
    • Rotate, Position, Resizing and multi selection are supported.
    • Sounds
    • Effects

    Some TODO:

    • Water rendering
    • Add Undo Structure (probably Redo aswell)
    • Config Window
    • Start Working on More Edit Modes.
    • Saving.
    • Add Skybox (a fancy feature that will add sky to maps. Probably it can be linked to fogparametertable.txt)

    Possible New Features:

    • New Lightmaps
    • Proper Lightmap calculations across models
    • 3D RSM Models editor inside Browedit probably with animation support (/me hopes)
    • Multi-User Share Mapping (multiple mappers could work on a same map in real time)

    We have to be thankful with @Borf that has been working on this project for a long time. If you have programming skills, you can be part of this project, please  don't hesitate to contact me by PM. Please support the project by giving us feedback and nice or useful ideas that would make browedit 2.0 improve. Also, please avoid to report constantly bugs or glitches, one time is enough. Keep in mind this is under progress and not a release version.

    Its boring to have that kind of drama! have you seen all the fights in RMS forums cause of that "hall of shame"? its boring!

     

    RMS is a site for servers to be promoted, so you can expect this kind of stuff. But that would not be fine here in rAthena, since we should focuss on development and not server adversitment or social stuff.

     

    Then don't read that "drama" if it bothers you that much lol

     

     

    Not quite easy as if you are a moderator and then, there are fights of people, reports and that stuff. We would have to be responsible as a staff to deal with that kind of things (who hasn't seen YC dealing with that stuff in RMS? all the time) 

     

    And that exactly what I'm refering with being boring. Rather than focussing in developing the emulator, we would be wasting our time with drama. I repeat, this is not an adversitment/RO community forum for servers as RMS is. This is mostly, a development forum.

     

    Edit: However, I'm refering exactly about "black list" of normal servers. Now about making a black list of paid services, then, thats different. That could be possible. But indeed it carries more social work.

    Well the map is pretty simple as you can see only just a platform :P but what took time was the models and that animation to recreate what he wanted. I can't remember how much time this was

    1. Concept
     

    Hello everyone :P I have been kinda absent by a lot of things happening on my life. But I'm back to show some of the work I'm working at this moment.

    This was the sketch of this work. Just a small area to warp players to each WoE castle. Customer was very specific to create the map exactly as how he drawed it, which means, it was necessary to create and designing it.

    2. Features

     

    New features on this map:

    • The main platform and bridges were modeled and texturized by me as low polygon models. Thanks by a digital tablet someone gave me I could add more shadows, occlusion and other things to my models, which increased the quality of them.
    • The hands were modeled and texturized to have that rock style. The position was possible by rigging the model and adding the proper bones to the anatomy of the hand so after that, the position was easier.
    • The emperium shards are looping as a floating animation.
    • The purple sky effect gives a more epic style to the whole area.

  6. You have done what i wanted for Ragnarok,

    BTW does monster models can be converted to fbx files then edit its animation?

    How about characters and items? does the collision of models in the map works good?

    Nice One :) quiet an artist.

     

     

    I only did the tutorials, plenty of other people helped to develop the tools that I use here. I have not made a tutorial to convert Ragnarok GR2 files to FBX yet, but its possible.

     

    Regarding the download links I'll check them soon.

  7. And? people can do whatever they want with their time. I think devs doesn't have a contract or are getting paid by their time here. Also most of them are not running a private server as most people does and are having an income with that.

     

    How about if we mention the amount of people that runs private servers and never had commited something to this emulator? Thats more interesting.

     

    Because if you think that open source software like this one should resides by only 5~ individuals, then you are wrong.

     

    Edit: Alternatively, there has been a restructure of the contribution of people at this project, which has increased the amount of free files or commits as a requirement of paid services. That has increased the amount of files and overall activity at a community level on this the forum.

     

    Which is something great. That is how everything should be done. Focussing everything to the contribution of the whole community, not depending only of few staff members to maintain everything.

    Is not allowed to make a thread with no sense on this forum. Without general interest or further discussion on the topic like you did. This should be at off topic. Or well even off topic threads have sort of general interest to look at.

  9. When I try to put it in Browedit just show a white square and in the map just show de yellow cube. In the game just appear error saying about didn't found the bipmaps, but they´re on texture file. :/ The custom .rsm show more bigger than the normals ones too.

     

    And you are from that server who is using some of my maps without authorization. Then you come to rA asking support.

     

    Good luck finding help :P I really wish I had never made 1 guide or wasting 1 minute of my life doing guides or working at the projects I've been involved when I see people like you.

  10. im trying to close this issue thats why i told them this is not a big deal, what do you want me to do then?, suicide?, kill my self?.. lol shut up,

    my services are joke?, and how about you?, what you got then? just because you have a badge?, you think your good enough?! your maps are sucks!

    You are stealing material from different mappers (Including one of my maps) and offering/reselling it at your "services". You are even offering Kamishi's pallettes as a pack of your "services". May I ask if do you at least offer something original from you? made by you? How you dare to have the decency to even ask money for your "services" knowing you didn't make anything?

     

    For your information, we have rules and I'm really sorry to tell you but now you have to deal with the consequences of a heavy bad reputation you have just made. Which means, no customers for you sir.

     

    Anyway, I can assure that the proper report/black listing of you and your service is gonna be set up. I hope this staff takes action, beginning by for instance, applying the rule of not allowing you to promove your service at your signature, which btw, you are breaking a rule since you would or should not be able to have an approved paid service here by using materials of other authors.

     

    Edit: And if I can add something, I have to agree with the posts above. It would be really a joke if you even dare to continue running a service after all of this.

    1. Concept
     

    Hi, I have been really busy to show stuff I have made, but here I'm. Just a commision of a very particular map I did, which I name it as "Vocaloid Stage"

    The primary idea was to create a small map for event purposes, which concist in a stage. However, the amount of custom material I had to add and features, made possible to recreate the map with a lot of life as usual.


    2. Features

    Again new features on this map:

    • An animated TV on the back area of the stage. The animation of a TV was improved a lot since I did one in a previous map
    • We have a huge background panel of LED screens that adds a panoramic view to the stage. Before I was planning to make it animated but It was just too much :P
    • Effects like a visual shake effect that represents the stage playing with very loud music.
    • A pack of stage objects as spotlights, speakers that I modeled and texturized myself
    • Effects like clouds to add more representation of a stage, and sound effects like people cheering at the concert.

    I dont know. Borf probably will add more support to his 3ds to rsm format with other 3d libraries. Animation is gonna be supported btw.

    Java version of browedit is no longer developed (look closely that log, all is from 2012~2013 year), the new version that has been worked out these days is under C++ which at the moment (unless someones interested and with skills shows up) is private and I believe only Borf and me has access.

    Dunno if Borf is okay by the idea of releasing compiled versions. Maybe once there is enough work done (for example at this moment, rev 199 has already texture edit mode) you can always looks the logs about the development: http://svnlog.borf.info/browedit.log

    Since this topic is not mine, I can't update the thread. Maybe I'll do a new one or contact the staff to change the author so I can edit it.

    I think there will be more people involved if he was writing it in C# (or C/C++), but yeah we all do our own choice (myself included  :P).

     

    Hope the best for your motivation, keep it up !

    Actually its written in C++ , the java version was dropped sometime ago

    Edit: currenly browedit 2.0 is at revision 180, before comming back, borf left it at revision: 90 (this was the past year) He has worked a lot on it the past days.
