This is really amazing. And this is what real creativity means. That looks more realistic, I just hope people won't lag specially in older computers
It doesn't lags granny animations are very fluent

That doesn't matters. I enjoyed the event and I didnt participate either. I mean, just by looking at those 3 videos + the comments/ratings and the votes was enough for me.
Also If I have to add something, I'll say that an event without specific skills would be about ... what? o_O

Nobody can help you. The nif version of RO2 is not developed by the nif extract tool yet.

The fact that you cant see the ground doesn't means that its not present. I guess you have never tried to do a map with this effect in your life. FYI its necessary to have a low sun to enable this way of lights.
The only horror I can see, is the way how you express yourself. It pretty says everything of the kind of person you are. Perhaps all this people that loved this map is wrong for you?
Note: mind everyone that I accept all criticism everytime, but only if they come with a good manners. Not this.

1. Concept
Here comes another map which has another new feature I've tried so far. I showed this one on my facebook site and people loved it and they were really interested about how I did these lights on it. Perhaps some mappers wants to give a try to this.
The Gambling Capital is a small map or a small area inspired in Las Vegas. My customer asked me to recreate a "modern city" full of life and colors. In the reference you can see the caesars palace in las vegas and thats kinda the idea of the map: iluminate everything.
2. Features- Light on models: There are plenty of color lights on the structures as also in some palm trees in the map. This effect was possible by doing a looot of tests and errors in game.
- Some custom buildings to fit the modern style.
- Effects everywhere! sparklights, fireworks, and so on
- Some representative neon signs, like, the market area has some pots on it. The cabaret area, 2 alligators having fun. The casino, some dices and that sort of stuff.

3. Video *watch in HD 1080p*
If you want to enjoy the fireworks, please watch the video
4. Screenshots
Some screenshots. There isn't a particular order or purpose on the screens here, just some overview screenshots and maybe some others that has to do with close ups.

Thank you its nice to know that there're still people interested in rating maps. Seems that most of the guys around only cares if there is a word "Free" somewhere on each topic.
Thankfully I'm running my facebook site and people continues giving feedback and asking for tips about each map I show everytime.

Thanks for the upcoming release

1. Concept
Hello. This is one of those times that I'm proud to show one of my best maps I've done so far, since it comes with plenty of new features. Coliseum, is really an impressive map, full of life thanks by the use of animation in rigged 3d models.
This is a commision I had, however its not a private map. Its available to anyone who wills to pay/invest on his server. Anyone interested, contact me as usual.
The whole main idea was to create a circular colosseum although the ambience style was intended to be a little different than this. I was inspired by the movie -gladiator- where there is a clandestine colosseum outside of Rome where slaves are forced to fight.
I loved those flags that I guess covers the sun/sand in the reference for the spectators. I really had to try that on my map. Thats what I did, and that structure was a must to add animation aswell.
2. Features
Colosseum comes with new features in mapping that I've been trying so far:
- Rigging and animation in Palm Trees and Flags: This animation is based in bones/articulations and its working thanks by the GR2 project of animated mobs in 3D. They are loaded as none-clickeable NPC in game. Please watch the video to get what I mean!
- The circular core of the colosseum, the stairs, were made and texturized in 3D from scratch. Atm I'm focussing into the way Ragnarok has it textures which for me they tend to have a grainy surface and shadows on some edges. Thats what I did aswell
- Effects like sand, and a dense fog that you can see if you move the camera at a high zoom, gives the feeling I was looking for.
Please I suggest you to watch the video. This map comes with animation that you can't see on screensshots!
4. Screenshots
Some screenshots. There isn't a particular order or purpose on the screens here, just some overview screenshots and maybe some others that has to do with close ups.
Comments are always apreciated. Thank you in advance

Maybe you can test by launching the server without that script

All started 2 years ago or 3, That I was doing a map and I looked at the 3ds to rsm browedit plugin. At first, I thought that it was going to be as easy as having a .3ds file and convert it, but, it was much more than that. I had a lot of crashes, bad positions, horrible textures, a headache really but that was the beginning of a very long way. In those years, the information and references about this area in Ragnarok was almost null. Hence everything has been matter of trying with tests and errors even to this day.
Regarding your inquirie if all of this is self taught, I would say, that yes it is. However, everything has been possible thanks by the fact that I had the chance to work in cooperation with great people that you can see in some of the credits in the topic or videos.
Everything has been self taught until weeks ago that I begun to study a mastery in animation and 3D modeling. Its a long journey, we'll see how everything goes.
Edit: also to everyone that is thankfull for this, please, don't forget that we must be thankfull for that people that developed the tools to make this real.

Links updated. And, thread updated with a new title: "Documentation about Map and 3D development".

Maya and 3ds Max both are from Autodesk. And you can easily export from Maya to FBX then use your scene in Max.
FBX supports bones, animation, multi textures in UVs, and plenty of things.

Maybe you can share what kind of award is on your topic (the image)

1. Concept
Hi everyone! Here comes my third naruto map from a lot to come. Currenly I've been working with a plenty amount of servers that are based on this anime, and they have asked me these kind of works.
The first reference was used for the modeling part. All the models were new and they were modeled/texturized upon the request of this work. I took 4 elements of that image to improve the style of the map an make it near as possible of how it is in real.
The second reference was mostly for getting the idea of how this city is "in a hole"? of mountains. Its kinda like a crater. And last, the third reference was for getting the idea of lights, pathways.
All together was enough to recreate the map to a great level, that I hope you will like. Comments are always appreciated, thank you in advance for taking your time to write a review.
2. Features
Sunagakure comes with a lot of new features in mapping I've tried here. Some to mention:
- Its not a night map but its global shadow is tweaked to have that twilight style
- The main 8 roads/stairs. At first I did them by doing a terrain edit in browedit, but, I had an issue: you really cant rotate those roads in brow to make the diagonal ones. What I did was, using the full map exporter to FBX (documentation of it on in my Olrox tutorials) I took the terrain part I did of the main center road from the map, and I imported it into Maya and rotated it. Then I created a custom model in brow and I used the -set gat colision 2- to make the gat cells accurate to the surface of it.
- Last, maybe I've to mention the effects. There is a heavy sand storm present in the map if you go to the center. Also, I added some tornados to enhance the idea even better. Last, there is @fog present to match all together
3. Video *watch in HD 720p*
Videos comes with a new intro btw just to match the new and revamped Olrox GFX services I have.
4. Screenshots

Ohhh I thought Olrox was an 8-handed octopus who can do multiple tasks simultaneously xD
I was going to say something so fun that involves tentacles related things LOLz but I realized that this is not the best forum to say such things XD

You should try to PM Orlox. If anybody can do it he probably can.
Peopleperson49
Yes I can, and I can export the animations too. I've made it before... I'm also offering animation from scratch on rigged or static models btw (basic for now, I've just begun on it at school) Oh also, this recalls me that currently I'm looking for a source mod to manage the models by script commands. So it would be possible to call the animations by specific circunstances on the map.
Back on the topic as I said to this guy in skype, I'm flooded of work atm. Rly, I'm a human, I can't work at everything at the same time. So I ofered him a lapse of 7 days before taking this work.
But seems he didn't like the idea to wait

It also happens with official maps. I assume that its not a browedit issue.

It should be like that everytime as long as that 35% doesn't has any "yellow represented" empty texture present (fill it with black) To solve your issue: if your map is this size: 50x50 or 100x100? copy all of it to the center of a larger map: 200x200 and you will have global shadow all over it.
The bad thing about is that, sadly, your minimap won't be too accurate.

Hi congratz for the map. Kamland or cammyland (I dont remember well its name) is always nice.
@everyone
Please I've to remind you that it is a rule in rA to post in English. Other languages are only allowed in the international forums; so, please edit your posts in english if possible

@curiosity
Arcturus is a really awesome game however, Granado Espada is a work of art for me. I've been playing it for years, but alone, cause it seems that is not a -popular- game for the interest of the masses.
Also SoundTemp is present aswell in GE music.

Thats pretty nice. I wish I had sometime to do the maps I want.
@Adel
Yea the ground is black, actually my customer and me agreeded to do it this way, we liked it as it, but I agree that maybe it would be better if it wouldnt be too black.
