3. Hi all. After reading about Ai4rei's little discovery I decided to try and make a client plugin. This plugin gives you a new config file, mapeffecttable.txt, which allows you to set weather effects and modify 3D renderer clear color ("sky color") for maps. Now you can add clouds and blue sky (like in Juno and Kunlun) to any map without modifying the client or having to replace the effect from an old map. I just made this today and haven't tested very much, so there will likely be bugs. Also I've only tested on Windows XP running as administrator user, so YMMV. This release only works for 2012-04-10 client, it will crash all other clients!! Update: Now available for 2013-08-07 in addition to 2012-04-10 Weather effect overview:
EffectDescription mapleFalling maple leaves nightNight mode pokjukFireworks sakuraFalling cherry tree petals skyCloud effects (many different) snowFalling snowflakes
Example: to add snow weather to Prontera you simply add an entry in the config like this: prontera.rsw 0x00000000 snow 0 More interesting Yuno: To install, put rdll2.asi in your client folder and put mapeffecttable.txt in your data folder. Also note it will not work if you have sound disabled. Download

 5. Evening All! As the school-goers of our community are about to finish off their exams for the year, now is an ideal time to submit your applications to become a member of our team! The following is a list of positions that are open and available for filling right now! Development Positions (Special requirements apply): Core Developer The Core Developer mainly works out of the /src directory, providing C programming experience to the emulator. They do a number of fixes or additions that effect the operation of the emulator. * A core developer must be proficient in C and have some sort of experience with C programming. Supporting Developer The Supporting Developer is a special development position mostly associated with our Bug Tracker. They are a team of devs that go out of their way to break rAthena so they can create Bug Reports. They also provide the occasional fix, too! * Coding experience in C is a plus, but not essential for this role. * Good English typing skills are required to fill out concise reports. * Bug Tracker Lv2 badge. Script/DB Developer The Script/DB Developer is responsible for managing, fixing, and writing new scripts and database entries. These could be taken from iRO or kRO sources. * A script/DB developer must know the rAthena scripting language intimately. * Bonus if you know the aegis scripting language. Document Developer The Document Developer is responsible for the upkeep of the documentation (/doc directory) as well as the upkeep of the documentation on the wiki. They also provide formatted code documentation within our source code for use with Doxygen. * The Document Developer must know the inner workings of rAthena. * Applicant must be able to type fluent English. Forum Moderator Positions Global Moderator The Global Moderator takes direction from the Community Manager to moderate all forums on the support board. They have the second-to-final say on what happens with moderation (next to the Community Manager). * This role can only be applied for by current staff. Support Leader The Support Leader is in charge of the support sections, provides moderation and support to members running rAthena or any similar emulators (eAthena and 3ceam typically fall under this). They will also be willing to write occasionally in the wiki about the installation and configuration of the emulator. Scripting Moderator The Scripting Moderator takes charge over the scripting sections of the forums. They are considered experts in rAthena scripting and also have moderation powers over the scripting sections to help keep it clean. Graphics Moderator The Graphics Moderator Takes charge over the graphics area of the IP.Downloads installation. They should have a knowledge of spriting, mapping, colouring, or anything involving RO graphics. They also moderate the Arts & Writings forum and the Graphic Enhancements forums. International Moderator (Special requirements apply) The International Moderators take charge over a specific language forum, providing moderation, support and such to the international community where they are most fluent. * An international moderator must be fluent (usually a native) of the language he/she wants to moderate for. * An international moderator must also speak decent to very good English to communicate with the rest of the team as needed. Non-Forum Moderator Positions Wiki Leader The Wiki Leaders take direction from the Document Developer to provide support and write articles on the wiki. All of the above roles can be filled by more than one user, so if you've applied for a position and it was filled by someone else, don't worry! I am adding a maximum turnaround of 2 weeks to all applications. If you don't hear anything after 14 days, it's safe to assume your application was unsuccessful - but don't worry! I will personally be sending out fully formed rejection notices to applicants who have failed to reach the mark by summarising our decision and stating the reasons why. You can then read this notice and make the necessary changes in order to try and change our minds! As always, you may submit your applications to us by clicking on the Staff Applications link in the top navigation bar. I look forward to seeing your applications - good luck!

 6. Are you using a 2012 client, or up? In case of 2012; What you need to do is locate data/idnum2itemresnametable.txt, find the sprite name of the cap (2227#ĸ#) then copy and paste that sprite name (#ĸ#) behind your Dyna headgear ID. So, if your Dyna headgear ID is 30000, it should look like this: 30000#ĸ# If you are using a newer client, please refer to your System/Iteminfo.lua Hope this helps :3

 9. - script quest_block -1,{ OnPCLoadMapEvent: .@map$ = strcharinfo(3); while( .@i++<.len ) if( compare(.map_name$[.@i],.@map$) ) if( checkquest(.quest_id[.@i])!=2 ) { message strcharinfo(0), "You are not authorized to enter this map."; warp "prontera",100,100; } end; OnInit: setarray .quest_id[1], 16146; setarray .map_name$[1], "lhz_dun03"; .len = getarraysize(.map_name$); while( .@i++<.len ) setmapflag .map_name$[.@i], mf_loadevent; } You can also look in quest_db.txt in your server files under db folder it's a little easier because you don't have to extract your data.

 13. I think its supposed to stack like that, because there are two different types of broadcasting methods used in your screenshot. I suggest using @join #main, @channel commands which allow you to message all those who're in #main channel, also you can make it like when all characters login they'll always join #main channel by the use of auto command on login in your script. So, you can @broadcast, and they can give a reply to you by using #main. But, on the other hand they'll stop using megaphones or any NPC announcers, and rely on #main. (unless they want their announcement to be recognized, most likely when selling/buying/trading something or something they feel important which should be announced, as it will make the RED text display at the top as well as bottom.)

 14. The encryption feature has been disabled due to issues with newer clients (the DLL won't load properly). I left the decryption features on so that people wouldn't have to downgrade to decrypt a GRF. I do plan on bringing back the feature when I have more free time though, but that may take a while, sorry about that!
