character deletion system

I am using 2011 02 23 exe version and i would like return to the ancient system for delete character (with mail adress)

can you explain to me how to do it ?

You'll need to use an older client if that is the case. I don't see how the new system is a problem.

the new system ask email adress ... but i's birthdate, it's possible to edit this text window ? (and precise format of date)

It can be done....

thats the only way I know of getting rid of it.

But it ask email adress (on the window) ... it's birthdate, it's possible to edit this text window for more consistency ?

Find these two lines

E-mail Address (Case Sensitive).#

E-mail Address (Case Sensitive).#

in your msgstringtable.txt in your datafolder/grf

Change it to

Please enter Birthdate.#

Please enter Birthdate.#

i have trying these formats YYYY-MM-DD YYYYMMDD

it says "Your entered birthday does not match"

Check your `login` SQL table.

Is there any value in the birthdate column?

If it's 0000-00-00, then try putting that in.

Hmm..How did you start using the birthdate system? I didnt see an option for that in 3ceam650

there is a column on login table `birthdate` and client > 2010 08 -- use this system for character deletion.

i don't understand why it doesn't work when i have a birthdate on sql table :/

i have test without date on the table login for my account and it works when i type "00000000"

have you got idea ?

I think it may have to do with your CP and the account attatched to the login table

When I had my old server up, new characters made didnt seem to have a set birth date. I don't think the Control panels are set to add in the birth date either.. =/

you have to put in 00000000

Judas's solution works too just need to put a Guide so that Players will know how to Delete Characters.
