Hi,

The plan is to make a server that can handle around 200 people. Ideally, it would be vps hosting (so it wont' be expensive) and a Debian server, hosted in europe.

for initial you can go for 2gb RAM, just monitor your RAM usage then you can upgrade server RAM manually. For Digital ocean, if you decided to put fluxcp there, you need to be aware that DO block SMTP port until 60 days usage.

Digital Ocean +1 Vote for now just wait other people answers.

I used Digital Ocean for around 7 month. No high-risk problems found. Price is very decent.
