Thank you for this grf! I am having an issue with walkable areas and was wondering if anyone could help.

A couple of the map warps are not placed properly so I moved them (not hard to do). However, after I moved one of the portals I found that I could not walk to it. After walking around the main town more, I found multiple spots to which a character could not walk.

I tried opening the files in browedit and checked the gat. The gat says it is walkable but gameplay says otherwise. It is as if the gat file from the previous town is still being used. So far I have: merged the prontera.grf with my data.grf and rdata.grf, recached using mapcache.exe.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hmm, well this looks like a mapcache issue. Use WeeMapCache and overwrite prontera's data.

Heya, if anyone's interested, I made a GRF with the new prontera maps but with downgraded model files. Older clients will be able to load the maps just fine ;)

Normally you would need a newer client, but if you download the above link it'll run fine on any version.

Hi Tokeiburu,

I think the mediafire link is not downloading anything at the moment...

Cheers!

This doesn't seem to be working for 2012+ clients.

Might you have any ideas why? I am using the above newprontera.grf of course.

Yes, it seems it doesn't work on 2012-04-10. It worked on 2013-08-07...

Could you elaborate about the error received when you tested for the 2012-04-10 client?

Thanks.

Still no luck with the 2012-04-10 client it appears.

Has anyone managed to make New Prontera function with the 2012-04-10 client, by any chance?

I've investigated it a little further; the problematic model is Catholic_01_h.rsm, it crashes the 2012-04-10 client because the nodes Catholic_01_h and churchstatue_s_003 have too many polygon faces. I've cut the model in 4 different parts and updated the link ( http://www.mediafire.com/download/7hcz6u9vl4vjhb4/newprontera.grf ).

I have successfully loaded the prontera map on clients 2010-07-30 and 2012-04-10. It should work now @@!

@Tokeiburu

Using the official files crashes me on a 2013-08-07 client and your version does work (wonderful and I appreciate that).

However, what could be causing the original map to malfunction on this map? The lack of the right models being hexed in the client itself?

EDIT: Nevermind. I figured it out... Had to delete map.cache.dat from db before running mapcache. Got a few errors from other maps, but prontera now works.
