Vending Crash / Temporary Fix

Found out that some client crashes when vending O.O

Gonna share what we found in our server :

Im using 2013 - 07 - 03aRagexe

Here's what we found :

Client will crash if the no message is been checked on :

 

Try unchecking it so it won't crash anymore TY

It thinks most people know this.

There is already a fix for this.

I crashes because of the old msgstringtable.txt

Just update you msgstringtable.txt and it won't crash anymore.

Also msgstringtable on 2013-08++ clients uses another msgstringtable which messes up older msgstringtable.

OK. This is what I actually use.

just check what will work. I'm using 2013-08-07Ragexe

also rename the msgstringtable_NEW.txt to msgstringtable.txt only if you wish to use it

 

For older clients

msgstringtable.txt

 

For the vending issue fix in newer clients

msgstringtable_NEW.txt

did you rename it? also i'm using 2013-08-07. not sure on you client.repack it in your grf?

Can anyone upload a msgstringtable from 2013-07-03?

The newer formats are different.

 

I think client version 2013-07-03 will crash on vending using anything but a msgstringtable from that time.

Same Problem here with 2013-08-07Ragexe

if I dont uncheck it vending crashes. Both .txt files posted here didnt work.

Now it even crashes in maintown.

 

Any solutions found yet ?!
