  2. Upon startup, the client ovverides the showname setting with 0 (false) resulting in always displaying the "thin letter" type (which is also wrong**). If I type in /showname and exit the game, the value (1) is saved correctly into the OptionInfo.lua, but after I start again it will show again the 0 variant, and after I exit it will save the 0 value. Please check this and correct it if you can (,or pz let me know where to hex the client to invert the showname option, because we want the thick one to be displayed by default). **Showname = 0 is supposed to be the "thick" name display type with only rank and name, and showname = 1 is supposed to be the thin name display type with guild, rank, name and party name visible. But this is only a side note. Thanks a lot!
  3. Hi! Is there a renewal english skill description file somewhere? Currently nearly all skill descriptions are useless, and outdated. Almost every has different formula by now. It is really misleading and annoying.

  6. I don't mean to hurt anyone, but this is what I think. I had enough of this scenario, when some ppl can't get along with the others, and because of this the whole community suffers, and progress stops. You are one of the few devs who made many commits and improved the project by much, but there are around ~10 devs from whom I didn't see any work personally. Maybe they have important roles, and yes, you are not robots, nor paid, but if they don't do anything, why did they accept the "job"? I don't volunteer, because I don't have the time. It's easy as this. Don't volunteer for something you can't do because of any reasons. Also being a volunteer does not mean that you don't have responsibilities. I volunteered for maintaining a free server, with high availability, minimal bugs, and interesting features. That's why I'm sending my bug reports, try to investigate, and push the devs to fix them ^ ^ And I still think that politics, and arguing has no place here. This is still a job that has to be done if someone volunteers. The only thing that shows a project's success is progress. That's what I was missing in the last few months. Many great things were accomplished, but only by few, and compared to the 2012 Q1-2 statistics, the commits were far behind.
  7. So I finally found why is there no progress. Okay, so whoever or whatever is the cause, please stop b*tchi'n around! Issues are starting to flood the bug section and there are only a few devs who do their job, but as I see they are starting to get tired. Please, leave the f*cking politics to the government, we don't need this around here. I don't know how many devs are here, but it's ridiculous that there are managers/leaders for every section, but only a few dev develops the whole project. Pz stop sitting on your thrones and start coding/developing. In many cases the community gives you the solution for a problem, but there is no response at all. I'm only a nobody, but many friends struggle to keep alive their servers, because players are leaving coz of the major issues that are unsolved for almost a year now. This makes me very angry. We switched to this fork because it seemed this is a rapidly developing one with a bright future. Don't ruin it!

  11. I had this before the whole translation thing. This issue is like 5 months old or maybe more. We did nothing custom change. The only thing that could be different is the diffs you used, and the exe. We use 2012.04.10.

  13. I don't know which is the proper place to post this, but please read this: http://rathena.org/b...ption-overflow/ It's about the item description window: If an item has a too long description, it causes a buffer overflow, and crashes the client. This happens with official items (1821).
  14. Hi! I had a tough client bug, regarding an item. This item is the Seismic fist (1821). When I opened the info window of the item, it always crashed the client. After many weeks of investigation it turned out that the item's description in the idnum2itemdesctable.txt is causing the crash, because it has a very long description. Please someone make a diff or hex the client to make it bigger, or selectable, like the input limits. Thanks!
  15. Thaks. Finally I was able to get an english file, with korean new items. At least I could translate the item names and lables so my players know what item it is and it's weight/atk/def etc. Tho I wasn't able to translate the descriptions, so I'll be waiting for an official one.   16. I found out. It's the idnum2item....table.txts They are not translated for the new items. Does anyone have one? For example pom spider card is not translated for me
  17. Still the same, even worse. Episode 13.2++ cards chrashes the client. In the itemdesctable the last few hundred items are not translated... Pz, I need a fully working kRo Ragnarok Online, fully patched up, fully translated items, no unknown items on dewata and newer cards. Someone missed that patch in the supported kro install, and you cant see these items only apples and unknown item labels. Really there is no such thing???

  19. Hi! I was wondering how the job lvl related skills work, when you change to 3rd job? For example if you have a lvl 99/70 whitesmith, and you change to 3rd job you lose the bonus to the refining skill that you gained from the +20 job on adv? That would be a nonsense... How is that now? Unfortunately I experienced something related to this, and that is the Lord Knight's frenzy. Once you had the skill on adv and you change to 3rd and then you reset your skills, why do you have to wait untill you get job 50 on 3rd job? 3rd job isn't something like the rebirth, you continue to level up, like you did on 2nd job compared to 1st. In that case, if you changed to 2nd job, you could do the skill quests without their job lvl requirement. There are other job lvl affected skills like creating stuff and others. Do they forget about that you were job 70 or not? That would be weird imo.... So what's the official for these?
  20. 1) All of the dewata and newer items are unknown items. If I use the files from the unpacked data folder, the items are not unknown but korean. I could not find any translated, up to date client. (patching does not solves this) 2) The item "Seismic Fist" crashes the game once opened the info window of the item. 3) The file optioninfo.lua does not store any settings. I tried to change the letter type to the bold version, but it didn't save it. Summasummarum: - I would like to ask for a client, put together with luas and data files that are needed. I don't understand why isn't there such a zipped file. Why do we need to copy these together? There are many duplicate luas and lubs in many different folders and I have no idea where to put them. Why is there luafiles folder and luafiles514?? They have exactly the same files in them. Please someone post a proper client, and if possible not on mediashare and other similar crappy ad pages. Thanks!

  22. My question is that how does the manual patch thing work? I tried to copy my downloaded .gpfs and .rgzs into the main ro folder, but the patcher didn't care. My problem is that there were some missed patches and there are some unknown items due to this. The patcher updated everything to the latest, but these missing ones are old patches, and I have to add them manually. Is there a way? Thanks!
  23. Hi! I wonder, would it be possible for skills like hallicination walk, energy coat, quickens and etc, that uses the sprite of the character or recolors it, to use palettes? It looks a bit ugly when the player has a completely different skill effect than the character's color set...
