Hi Aisha, Okay thanks for continuing your spam; but I had already clearly stated that the modules are already pre-installed with the PHP5 that we provide. I have now reported your post to be removed. Also to add... PHP5 can't be installed by default repo's on CentOS 5; so it's not "no big deal". You need to install the EPEL repo for it to work properly. Nice try there though.

hi sir, I have a problem hope you can help me. I'm doing some php work, and here is a little sample of what I'm doing $connect = @mysql_connect('localhost', 'account', 'password'); if (!$connect) { ....(something for end) } $bool = mysql_select_db('test',$connect); if (!$bool) { ....(something for end) } at first I think account and password is what I use for login phpMyAdmin, but it's fail (mysql_connect login fail) so I use another what I use for login ftp, it work well when php do mysql_connect but it will fail when do mysql_select_db, even I go to phpMyAdmin and create an an user which same as this account, it still tell me ' Access denied '. could you tell me where is I missed or what I shouldn't do that? Hi Guys, This is a sales topic, not a support topic. If you don't have a service with us, post your questions and issues somewhere else more appropriate on the forums. If you do have a service with us, submit a support ticket. Also, I am not your personal PHP tutor; please avoid asking me questions on how to correct your script. And 'apt-get' is for Debian/Ubuntu; our RO services run CentOS and come pre-installed with PHP5 + modules.

Hi Fai T.Flowright, All you need to do is extract the phpMyAdmin files to your website directory and edit the 'config.inc.php'; that's all you need to do. What error message are you getting from trying to log into phpMyAdmin?

Finding Dedicated Server (DDOS Protection)
Asura replied to Alvin Lee's question in Third Party Support
Hi mrlongshen, I'm guessing that's a no for SSH/Terminal access. And I've spoken to Daniel/Sirius; he told me that what he's doing is not approved and unauthorized. http://i.imgur.com/M7Uk0nj.jpg And Harmony provides you with a list of clients within the client area to automatically generate for use... so it's not like he's offering you something special, we all get it. But thanks for the insight on VDSUP. -
Finding Dedicated Server (DDOS Protection)
Asura replied to Alvin Lee's question in Third Party Support
Hi mrlongshen, Well, it's just that he's charging quite a bit for shared RAM, shared port, shared IP (not even dedicated), shared CPU, and limited compiles per month. I am guessing he has 1 Harmony license for 1 IP; which explains how he is able to provide all the servers with Harmony since it's all the same IP address. Does he provide you guys with SSH/Terminal access? -
Hi diegobh, Grab the files correctly, it just seems that when you transferred it onto the service; it got corrupted. Install subversion with... yum -y install subversion Then just use this command to check out directly from the SVN... svn co https://rathena.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rathena/trunk/

Finding Dedicated Server (DDOS Protection)
Asura replied to Alvin Lee's question in Third Party Support
Hi lolipopro, For DDOS Protected Dedicated Services, there's always the hosts which are extremely reliable (but expensive!); SoftLayer, RackSpace, and FireHost. However, I would personally recommend checking out Staminus and their 'SecurePort'; it's great against DDOS attacks. @ragnazorg BlackLotus is just too darn expensive for the mediocre service; the only thing you're really paying for is fancy charts. Why do you need fancy charts when all you really need is a high performance service which is reliable? @mrlongshen 'vdsup.com' seems to charge a lot for what they are offering. Does he even have permission from Sirius to do that with Harmony? -
Hi enjay, You need to change your server communication user/pass combo in both 'char_athena.conf' and 'map_athena.conf', it can not be s1/p1. You'll have to also update your `login` SQL table in your RO MySQL Database with the new user/pass combo when you change it in the conf files.

Hi kaiGAMING, Sorry, but I can't understand Tagalog. I can only guess what you are saying... For importing, you need to upload the .sql file to your RO VPS using SFTP; https://asurahosting.com/forum/topic/12-transfer-files-tofrom-your-vps Then use SSH/Terminal to import the .sql file to your MySQL database with this command... mysql -u root -p, --password=PASS_HERE DATABASE_NAME < FILE_NAME.sql (Replace all CAPITALIZED words with correct MySQL information!) I recommend that you take a look at this video tutorial on setting up Athena; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-NG6DtKMsw
-
Hi kaiGAMING, Wrong service; you are accessing the Free cPanel Webhost. You need to access your RO VPS.
-
Hi Will, Since you are using nGinx; it's fine to set public files' permissions to '0777', should not be an issue... especially since you're on your own private webhost and it's not shared webhosting.

Hi glemor123, I believe it's saying that you did not declare your Time Zone value; you need to edit '/config/application.php'. Change this... 'DateDefaultTimezone' => null, // The default timezone, consult the PHP manual for valid timezones: http://php.net/timezones (null for defaut system TZ) To this... 'DateDefaultTimezone' => 'Asia/Manila', // The default timezone, consult the PHP manual for valid timezones: http://php.net/timezones (null for defaut system TZ)

Hi Screwdriver, You might install to install the development libraries; if you have CentOS/Scientific OS, you may use this command... yum install php-devel php-pear mysql-devel httpd-devel Then restart your Apache service with... service httpd restart

Hi melvincruz03, For setting up the client-side, I would recommend that you contact Judas or check out his client-side development community @ http://supportmii.com -- I am sure that they can help you out with giving you a good idea on how to set that part up. please asking your hoster https://asurahosting...hp?/clientarea/ Hi mrlongshen, We don't provide client-side support, we're a hosting company... not a development company.

Hi Feefty, I recommend that you just copy the Athena server files over to your 2nd machine, and then re-compile. Then configure the char_athena.conf and map_athena.conf to use the 2nd machine's IP for the char_ip, and the inter_athena.conf to use the correct IP for where the MySQL server is located. After this, you can simply run './char-server_sql' on the 2nd machine and it'll just run that by itself. However, I don't see why you'd want to do this... I can somewhat understand doing it for the map-server, but char-server doesn't use that much resources to have to have it moved to another machine.

Hi mrlongshen, This looks like an early version of what NickyZai use to be... host nearly 30 servers on 1 dedicated on 1 IP with only 4GB of RAM. I would not recommend that service, simply because of the limitations for the price you pay. You pay 150MYR which is $49USD to be limited to 3 compiles, max of 200 players, and 2 backups? That's a huge rip off... You can go on LowEndBox, and find an Asia-based host for WAY less and is actually REPUTABLE, so he doesn't run away with your money in the middle of the night... leaving you with nothing. http://www.lowendbox.com/tag/asia/ But if you are looking for DDOS Protection, don't expect it to find it at LowEndBox. --- 1 last thing... the 140ms, that you got from iDeal Hosting is actually good. Anything below 200ms, is considered pretty good. However, I would stay away from iDeal as they are scamming people. There's no RAID10, it's a regular 7.2kRPM drive (nothing else). There's no 1Gbit port, it's a 100mbit shared port. There's no such thing as "Cloudflare DDOS Protection", CloudFlare is simply a Content Delivery Network for WEBSITES... with extras. There's no PPS filter, they don't even have a regular firewall in front of their server. You can contact http://www.urpad.net/ to confirm the information; as this is where they are reselling from.

Herro, just a little help would be appreciated.
Asura replied to arzzzae's question in Installation Support
Hi arzzzae, The issue is that you've not configured the 'char_athena.conf' and 'map_athena.conf' files properly with the correct IP. The issue with this is that you put '127.0.0.1' for your char/map/login IP's within those files. You need to use your LAN IP if you are hosting it on your own computer, or the WAN IP if you are remotely hosting it. -
Hi Instinct, I recommend that you just watch the video demonstration on how to properly set up the rAthena service on YouTube; it's fairly quick and easy. http://youtube.com/asurahosting

Hi Rhaven, MD5 encrypts the plain-text value of the password, so if someone hacks into the MySQL database; they don't know the actual password since it's just a hash value. But if you secure your MySQL, you shouldn't have any problems with this.
-
Hi mythology, The issue is the fact that your MySQL user is not allowed to be used by that specific host. In order to fix this issue; you need to log into your RO VPS's phpMyAdmin and then edit the 'root' @ '127.0.0.1' to have '%' (Any Host) as the Host. 1. Log into phpMyAdmin 2. Click on 'Users' on the top menu tab 3. Edit the entry labeled 'root' - '127.0.0.1' 4. Select % (Any Host) for the Host field 5. Re-type the passwords for the account 6. Press 'Go' on the bottom right to complete this, and it should be resolved.

Hi avahdon, I recommend checking this site out: http://portforward.com/ You should be able to look up your router's manufacturer and model, then it will tell you step-by-step instructions on how to properly portforward to allow outside access.

Hi nezz, I would still say Harmony is the best custom game custom; you should just send Daniel an e-mail, he should reply as I do get in touch with him fairly easy. Send an e-mail to him here: [email protected]

Hi Feefty, Mitsu's explanation is correct. 'fail2ban' is for banning bruteforce/more-than-usual attempts to your SSH/SFTP or any other port/service you may configured it for.; so it doesn't actually do anything for network attacks (DDOS). If you are looking to beef up security for your server, I recommend CSF/LFD; http://configserver.com/cp/csf.html

An error on while running the server.
Asura replied to deathis8080's question in Installation Support
Hi deathis8080, I would first recommend that you comment out your bind_ip values once again. For your char_athena.conf and map_athena.conf; make sure you put your VPS IP in for the char/map/login IP values. After doing this and confirming everything; I would recommend that you log into SSH/Terminal and kill any pre-existing processes by typing this; killall -9 map-server_sql killall -9 char-server_sql killall -9 login-server_sql Now after doing this, you may run the 'start' by just... ./start -
any guide for installing flux for linuz using filezilla?
Asura replied to mythology's question in Web Support
Hi mythology, This message is basically just a notification that you have an error. I recommend that you edit the '/config/error.php' and turn error_reporting to true, so you can get the actual error message.
