Should be .menu$[.@job] ? Isn't it better to, instead of having your switch, just do a "set .@job, BaseClass;" and remove after what you don't want ?

  15. oh you're right. just for the character, it should be starterkit not #starterkit unless you want to make it as an account - script starterkit -1,{ OnPCLoginEvent: if(starterkit == 1) goto L_Done; getitem 5055,1; getitem 2393,1; getitem 2112,1; getitem 2510,1; getitem 2414,1; set starterkit,1; L_Done: end; } this is just for each character XD so what this does is if your starterkit is 0, then you will be given those 5 items and sets them that you already got them for that character

  19. After testing for a whole day, I had no database timeouts. I changed the timeout variable in the code, based on the tests of my server. For example, default is 28800. My server had 7800 but kept disconnecting. I tried lowering the number to 7000, 5000, and found out that 3600 is the lowest number that kept the database alive. If you have a similar problem, you should try the same. /// @return the keepalive timer id, or INVALID_TIMER /// @private static int Sql_P_Keepalive(Sql *self) { uint32 timeout, ping_interval; // set a default value first timeout = 3600; // lowest number I found that my server did not disconnect // request the timeout value from the mysql server //Sql_GetTimeout(self, &timeout); <removed this as it gave a higher number and kept disconnecting and you are already giving the variable. if (timeout < 60) timeout = 60; So thats it. It can be counted as problem solved. Thank you very much.

  21. Hmm, your not TOO far off in the way your script is written, however there are some, ' wasteful & obvious ' errors. Firstly, lets start off with the top of your script: new_1-4,130,178,6 script GuildBaseWarper 777,{ set .@name$,"[GuildBase Warper]"; mes .@name$; mes "Hi "+strcharinfo(0)+","; mes "Do you want to go in your Guild Base?"; next; menu "Blueprint's Base",P_insert,"Yakuza's Base",P_insert1,"No",-; close; Here, your just asking them if they want to go to the Guild Base, but we don't even know if they are in a guild yet, so lets add a check. new_1-4,130,178,6 script GuildBaseWarper 777,{ set .@name$,"[GuildBase Warper]"; mes .@name$; if( !getcharid(2) ){ mes "You must be in a guild to use this NPC"; close;} mes "Hi "+strcharinfo(0)+","; mes "Do you want to go in your Guild Base?"; next; menu "Blueprint's Base",P_insert,"Yakuza's Base",P_insert1,"No",-; close; Next, theres the matter of your menu..But, i'm not going to get into that atm, since it'd require that I rewrite your script almost completely. So lets get to the main problems here. P_insert: sc_start sc_berserk, 1000000000, 1; mes "[GuildBase warper]"; mes "Please enter your guild password"; next; input #insertgpw$; if (blueprint == blueprint) goto P_pass; mes "[GuildBase warper]"; mes "Invalid password. Try again."; next; Here you have them inputting the password, thats fine, BUT yoru storing it into a #variable, it's not TOO bad, but definately not nessecary. So lets use this: input .@insertgpw$; Next, you were preforming a check to see if the password is right, however, you were using perm-char variables, this means, that if A = A true, and lets face it, A will always = A. So, lets fix that up. P_insert: sc_start sc_berserk, 1000000000, 1; mes "[GuildBase warper]"; mes "Please enter your guild password"; next; input .@insertgpw$; if (.@insertgpw$ == $blueprint$) goto P_pass; mes "[GuildBase warper]"; mes "Invalid password. Try again."; close; As you can see, I added the change for the insert portion, as well as a check to see if it's the right password, You'll notice i used: $blueprint$ this is because we need to call this for ALL guild memebers, so a perm-global pass will do great, since it wont erase if server shuts down. Lastly, I added a close; Because, there is no need, to have them continuously retry. They can just click the NPC again. If they fail, they should suffer And that's it really. But, it is obvious this isn't the whole script, and if it IS the whole script, you need to add a way for them to save the password (guild master does this). I'd explain more elaborately, but i have to get back to work (lunch break's over) so good luck.

  27. Darnit Eurphy, you were faster than I was.(didn't notice your post, thought it wasn't brought up.). Indeed can be a lot smaller(keep comments intact, and special effects intact.) can do the special effects with a loop aswell . Also you were using string Variables ($ at the end), which does not apply, as you were using ID's. // ============== Credit ===================== // Scripted by WhiteEagle // =============== For ======================= // Delphin Project // =========================================== - script Levelupbox -1,{ OnPCBaseLvUpEvent: setarray .@item[0],501, // Level 10 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 20 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 30 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 40 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 50 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 60 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 70 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 80 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 90 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 100 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 110 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 120 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 130 with Item "Red Potion"; 501, // Level 140 with Item "Red Potion"; 501; // Level 150 with Item "Red Potion"; if(!(Baselevel%10)) End; For(set .@i,71; .@i < 73; set .@i,.@i++) specialeffect2 .@i; getitem .@item[(BaseLevel/10)-1],1; dispbottom "Congratulation "+strcharinfo(0)+" to level "+BaseLevel+"!"; end; }
