Item Name Colors

Question

Posted

I am currently looking for a source mod, or client mod (don't really know how it would be done, cant remember) that can let me change a specific item's name color.

I had seen something like this here before, released, and i cant seem to find it any longer.

If you happen to know where it is located, kindly just link me up to it.

Thank you.

Hello there !

Is anyone have more information about this topic?

I've come over clif.cpp, but I can't find anything related to item's color...

Thanks 🙂

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you just add cards into slots that are non-existant and the client turns the color? So you just create stub cards that do whatever and add the Card Prefixes for Legendary etc?

Yeah you can. I've done it plenty of times.

no guys,YOU ARE NOT RIGHT

its a full mod:

if the item +7/+8/+9/+10 the colors for them and prefix it doesnot depends on cards on slots only on refine so

+7 Coat = Special Coat

+8 Coat= Incredible Coat

+9 Coat= Artefact

+10 Coat= Legendary

also u can change colors in the serverside after assembling the exe.

Okay... it may be a mod but I've done it without it... :S You can't tell me I'm not right when I fully done it before.

Though it may be a cool mod, and actually I'm interested in it. I don't think you actually have to do anything client-side.

It should only involve clif.c/h mostly. I am of course just speculating. But since you said you can change the colors server-side,

it means the colors are read through a db (or perhaps directly on source). These colors aren't the default client-side colors when slotting an un-slottable item, is it?

Anyway, you can PM me so we can discuss further, I have several ways to possibly make use of that mod.

Back in the day (I was using 2012 client) I simply put cards into equipment that didn't have slots shown (client side) and the client changed the colour of the equipment o-o.

It's still client side, but the client adds the color automatically when conditions are met. I think this isn't the right topic to discuss this (esp. since somebody offered a payed mod but nobody a soultion), except for some hints.

How so? o-o. I just didn't put my items in itemslotcounttable.txt o_O Then when I got in game and my item actually had slots (via the DB) and I slotted it... the colour appeared :S
