another info, the reason maybe rA needs repo for itemInfo.lua or other client files (item related), if players rely on itemInfo.lua from client-side-translation project, 529 items will be shown as "unknown item" at client-side.

no, from those Herc items, only 4 items rA doesn't have.

from 3CeAM items, rA has all.

and the first codebox, if rA users use itemInfo.lua from client-side-translation project, they will get 500++ will be unknown items for those items that on the list.

Bumping.

 

Hello there, Cydh, any fixes to that regarding the ItemInfo.lub/a? 

 

no, from those Herc items, only 4 items rA doesn't have.
from 3CeAM items, rA has all.

and the first codebox, if rA users use itemInfo.lua from client-side-translation project, they will get 500++ will be unknown items for those items that on the list.

 

The 500++ unknown items are appearing as such on my server. Currently not been able to look for a workaround on this problem. My data folder and git for rAthena are all updated as of yesterday, Jan. 30 2014. Tips?

I think those items are the item that rare we will see. so we never know if there is client-side issue because the items aren't exist yet

True, true. Hopefully there would be an update on this :)

 

BTW, most of these missing items are actually seen as Unknown Item (apple) when I create them via @item. Cards, for example, still have the card artwork on them (e.g. @item 4568 Celia Alde Card). Kinda weird. So if I'm right (?), these items are in fact in the grfs, etc., but can't be read by the client?

If I'm not mistaken, you do that by diff'ing a ragexe without checking the option for "Read Data Folder First"?

Added items that aren't exist if we compare between rAthena's item_db.txt and idRO idnum2itemdisplaynametable.txt/idnum2itemdesctable.txt.

Some items are 'package' items which I don't know the probability for each items, and some package contains many items which I was lazy to add it that's why I gave comment "/*TODO: Many items. xD*/". :P

I added some items later, most of them had been added a while ago, I'll update the first post.

If based on Ziu's files, at least, there are 200+ items left. I just need to do manual scripting for item scripts, all item fields like job, weight, type, etc are done by my parser.

Work got the better of me i'm afraid so i never got around to completing my project.. like everything else. I need 48 hours in a day just so i can do what i plan on doing!

maybe u need to brave to asking people for help. also tell something like, what's ur plan, what's u've done and undone, how they to help, rA is community. at least, try asking for help, anyone will help or not, it's later. /heh

like, see what I've done here, try asking people for some helps, seems, just a counted people here of countless people in this community. /heh

Here, my target is actually, want to clear 'missing' items from 2013 patches.

[spoiler=brace yourself!]

- Please recheck the item type, only armor, weapon, and card that identified, the rest like usable, healing, and box isn't set, since the idnum2itemdescnametable.txt doesn't tell the item type. I set the parser, by default to set be 3 (etc item).

- Some items aren't translated, so maybe some items has 'incorrect' job.

- If any item as box that give some items, just use F_Rand first, since we don't now the probability each item.

Guess where RMS gets their data from :P They used to use rA's item db, not sure if they've moved to Herc or still using ours. 9 times out of 10, if we don't have it, neother do they.

don't even try find those newer items on RMS and http://db.irowiki.org/  /heh

iRO still in Ep 14.3, and like Akkarin said, most of RMS data get from open-source emulator.

Last time I checked the differences of item_db between rAthena-Herc-3CeAM-idAthena, I cleaned the gaps. I can say, rA has item datas more than everyone (even the script isn't complete and not 'waiting-for-parsing-from-aegis-leak/release')

Like what I said, the effect, you can look at Ziu post, he has translated idnum2descnametable.txt for those items. If there are untranslated items, just give /* TODO: <Comment> */ comment in item script, just like what I did. But, don't even try you give all items as TODO only. /heh

you need if - else there, that conditions makes +7 is better than +8. +8 gives not bonus.
