Hi,

i see at some Server the PIN Code System as Anti Bot Tool. Is it works for rathena?

How it works if i aktivat the System now? Only the Pin Code is altiv oder the PW and Pin code?

 

EDit: Oh i dont have this option at ma rathena have to update the folders. How works a rathena update?

Mate, what would be the point in an only pin code system? It would be a bad password only... So yes, it is after your password.

How works a rathena update? Because i changed a lot of things?! will this be lost?

You could make a new folder and download the latest rAthena revision there, so you can see the difference with your current version

But how can i see the diffrence? the files and folders has the same names O_o

Log in to your game, then use '@version'

server revision are viewable when you startup ur map-server....

You see this only if you updated it with an svn client, and you have the .svn files where you run from the server.

Try tortoisesvn, there you can check every single change in the files. Or you can read the changelog from the date of your serverruning files. I suggest you to backup everything, and start to learn svnclient, and how diffing works (of course only if you want to do ragnarok serious).

There are the files i have to upadete:

conf/char_athena.conf (1 diff)

sql-files/upgrades/upgrade_svn17183.sql src/char/char.c (8 diffs)

src/char/inter.c (1 diff) src/login/account.h (1 diff)

src/login/account_sql.c (6 diffs) src/login/login.c(5 diffs)

 

Can i only update this files or have i also update the rest of rathena wehn i want to include the Pin Code? I am using Rev 17138.

I suggest update your whole emulator. It is sucks, I always hate this part, but sooner or later you will have to. There is more then one solution for this, but i suggest you to make a full reinstall with the latest files, and then insert into it your modifications (like dropprate, and other things). So you have to make your config files again from the basics. It is a long work, but as I said sooner or later you have to do this. And as long you suspense this work as bigger work will it be (and sorry for my bad english)

If those mostly npc then not a big problem And that is a one time job, in the future you will know how to manage your modifications to not make yourself unnecesary work with the updates (but first learn to use tortoisesvn or something similar, and maybe you will figure out some better solution for update )

You could use the 'import' feature for the configuration files, but sadly you have to re-apply your patches and another edits manually

Changes done in those revisions are your best bet to do manually... or, you automatically update your folder with TortoiseSVN
