What is the meaning of ASCII AND UNICODE in Thor Patcher?

What is the meaning of ASCII AND UNICODE in Thor Patcher? Can you explain it? :)

And what will i choose on that two if i want to Replace the file in my GRF to a new patch file?

Example.

I want to replace my Msgstringtable.txt to a NEW MSGSTRINGTABLE.TXT inside my GRF.

It refers to what encoding would thor patcher use. If the directories and files of your patch contains rubbish characters, then choose ascii.. If it contains korean characters, choose unicode. You cannot have both. If you are not patching any folder or file with special characters, then you can use either.

BTW , when i chose Ascii , the result is in BOX form and its not in Rabbish. When i chose Unicode , then its in Box Form. Whats the problem in this? , when i chose Ascii , its in Box form.?? HELP... And how can i delete file because its only supported in Ascii Format.

I have a problem in Thor patcher when i chose Ascii in RO-GRF Option.

Then , after the thor patcher patch my GRF , and i open it with GRF Tool , the files i patched is in Unicode style not in Ascii.

Is there a problem in here?

Yes,

Once you extract the grf files it will become unicodes its not longer acsii
