Digos Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 (edited) Hello Ai4rei, I'm using the opensetup v2.8.3.300 under Windows 8 and the graph devices list and resolution are empty. Both opensetup and gravity's default setup does not work. My video card is NVIDIA GTX TITAN and I've installed the official driver from nvidia v320.49. I've noticed that others users of GTX series video card also have the same problem under Windows 8. It's possible to fix this issue? Please help I can't live without RO Thank you. Ai4rei Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 http://pastebin.com/Ua6FGTTvSo far I do not see anything wrong with your configuration. Mind running a debugging application for the directx part of opensetup and provide the generated log (dx7edbg.txt)? Quote

Ai4rei Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 (edited) Unfortunately there is probably little I can do. Though I'll try to see, whether or not the client can be forced into using software rendering. Edit: The client will run with software renderer selected, but I wonder about the performance. I wasn't able to pull out more than 0.05-0.1 FPS (1 frame every 10-20 seconds) on my somewhat aged PC. But since it works, I'll include it as troubleshooting option. Ai4rei Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 Others games run fine. Can you help if there's a solution for this? You might want to try this nightly release. It adds support for disabling hardware-accelerated rendering, see Graphics->Troubleshooting. Note, that the client performance might be pretty bad, or completely unusable; for some people testing this feature, the client even crashed. Quote
Ai4rei Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 Updated to 2.9.0, adds troubleshooting option for disabling hardware-accelerated graphics, detection of active mirror drivers (which prevent hardware-acceleration) and various tweaks to visuals and translations. I managed to run the game on windows 8 using the app Dll.Files.Fixer.3.0.81.2643. This program identified 10 dll errors and repaired them so the setup now recognize my video card and the game works perfectly. Quote

Ai4rei Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 - Make sure, there is no "OptionInfo.<strong>lub</strong>" in your "savedata" folder. If you have one in "System" copying/moving won't help.<br />- Make sure, you have the latest version of OpenSetup.<br />- Make sure, you read all message boxes that may occur when saving settings.<br />- Note that the setting saving process requires Administrator privileges (you will be prompted automatically for consent/credentials). Leeg Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) How do you configure language? I have downloaded the exe but I can't see any option to change its language. If it's automatic, my OS is in Spanish (from Spain: ES, España, internacional), but I see everything in English. PS: I've found the issue, apparently, Spanish language should be 0x3, and not 0x1 Edited November 9, 2013 by Leeg Quote
Ai4rei Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Your OS decides what language it picks, depending on the regional settings control panel. OpenSetup currently ships with traditional (default) Spanish (0x01) and Chile (0x0d). 0x03 is supposed to be modern Spanish. I have no idea about the differences, the LANG/SUBLANG pair is decided by the respective translation-author. 1 Quote
Leeg Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) I already knew that The thing is that Windows (in Spain) is set by default in Modern Spanish, and not Traditional... Anyway, that translation could work for the two language types. Could you duplicate it for 0x03 too? Thank you. Edited November 11, 2013 by Leeg Quote
