I seem to be experiencing some weird error in in my Thor Patcher..

Basically, of course, I make my output file, set it to RO-GRF, I've created two patches with the field blank and added the grf in which I want the patch to go to.

Made the input directory because I wanna patch in a data folder, select my data folder, compression level high, and I made two patches: one with Acsii and one being Unicode.

Now, for whatever reason.. the Unicode won't work. Basically, the custom items I've added in with the patch being Unicode, I get errored. Now, with Acsii, I see the items, see everything, no errors. Weird?

Now for the messed up part.. basically I patched, I can see my gears, customs, but my players can't and they've patched too.. No, I do not have the files in my main data folder, I have nothing. I patched my client and I can see my customs, but my players can't when they've patched as well..

Has anyone else have this messed up problem? =/

I don't know what the problem is, but I always have ascii as the compression method for Thor Patcher

and never got error except misstypo in your patch.

Well, i first test the files by putting them in my data folder for my client to read, thus, when they work there, I'll patch them. So basically, what I'll do is move the data folder to my desktop and create a patch from that data folder. When I create my patch, I add the 'Directory' function o_o. but now, I'll always try the ASCII form. However, is there anything that I might be missing?

here's whats on my mind between acsii and unicode.....

acsii goes for translated objects,files ETC

unicode goes for original objects,files ETC

texture > post-9398-0-46724700-1355173229_thumb.png

but yeah since our grf reads translated

just correct me if im wrong..

Reinforce on images provided by Mootie, if you have filenames/folder names like in first image then use unicode mode.

If you have names similar to second image, which is complete gibberish, then use ACSII.

Keep in mind though, do NOT mix match. You may not create a patch that contains both types or result is unpredictable.

Which also means, your GRF likely corrupt if you use filenames that contains illegal characters, most likely caused by random palette pack obtained from who knows what weird place.
