Don't we have a chat box on this site so that people can communicate fast and efficient like the other sites have?

Ex. If someone would ask something.. people who is online can assist and point out the right Forum link instantly that would solve its problem.

I registered in eAthena last February and so far what I observed in eAthena even here in rAthena the process of assisting/helping the new comers/newbies is totally slow took me days to get some replies, "regarding this and regarding that etc."

excluding the time and effort of applying what people instruct you to do and the process of having the solutions if you got any errors.

This is just a humble suggestion for a better communication.

:D

Sincerely,

well but actually a chatbox in the forum would be better. I mean I often forgot the address of the irc...

How about a chatbox in the forum that connects to the IRC of rAthena? I wonder if there is an IPB extension to do that.

That would be amazing, really.

The link you posted is exactly the same. It's just another Java applet. I'm not a fan of having shoutboxes, chatboxes, whatsoever on forums as they look ugly and unprofessional. Why not just connect to IRC? That's what it was made for.

I am starting to work on this now.

I'm going to replace the IRC Webchat link to a new page -within- the forums. This page will display a webchat client through our IP.Content installation.

It won't be a shoutbox, just a page on the forums that can connect you to irc via web chat.

Edit: I've built a page via IP.Content to provide IRC built into the forums. It'll be released to the general public when the IP.Content suite goes online.

(I actually did this mid-November.. but with IP.C being offline i kinda forgot to tell anyone i'd finished it)
