xampp is nice but he might have mysql already install so he would be out of luck with that you could install httpd, php and phpmyadmin depend on the os your running. you even could use webmin. webmin a easy one and you have less issue backing it up.

Hi glemor123,

In order to re-install phpMyAdmin, you would simply have to download the phpMyAdmin files and unzip it into the correct web directory.

Download phpMyAdmin: http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/downloads.php

Once you have done this, you must configure the 'config.inc.php' file to use the MySQL server. It should be self-explanatory, but if you need help; I would recommend you use Google and search for a phpMyAdmin guide, or read the official phpMyAdmin Documentation.

phpMyAdmin Documentation: http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/docs.php

In order to backup your SQL database with phpMyAdmin; you must make sure phpMyAdmin works. After logging in with the proper account, you can select the 'Export' tab on the top from the front page after login... then select a format you'd like it to be delivered, and press Go. After a few seconds, a download will be initialized and that is your backup for all your databases made available to the account you logged in with.
