[Question] Is there a custom map limit?

Hey guys, simple enough question here. Is there a limit to the number of custom maps you can have on your server? I had heard from someone that the limit is about 200 or so, but I was curious as to 1) whether or not this is true, 2) why this is (tech-wise), and 3) if there's any way to circumvent this to have more maps. I have no idea, I'm afraid- the person who told me about this heard it themselves from a server tech person a while ago, and wasn't able to explain the reason behind it to me. I don't run a server myself, I just make maps for other people to use. Since I'm not really knowledgable on server-related things, someone would have to explain whether or not there's a custom map limit to me as though I'm a five year old.

Bump? I still don't have a very clear answer to this.

Since the max map index is 2000 I guess you can have up to 750 custom maps (2000-1250)?

No idea who would have THAT much custom maps.. but yes. ^ is correct.

Though, the map index, refers to Custom Maps and regular maps? Hm? Because there's no specification on the amount of regular maps and custom maps someone can have. Thus, 2,000 could be the limit for both custom and regular.

yeah not sure why you would want that much maps, they do tend to get very big in size
